Anybody starting their tww?
Mine starts today, my app says test on the 25th so I'm challenging myself not to test early this time!

Come join me for 14 days of symptom spotting and a healthy dose of moaning about mean AF.

Age - 30

I thought I was 2dpo based on temps and I had positive ovulation tests on Tuesday and Wednesday but I’m having EWCM again and one sided cramping! Might DTD in case 🙈

Doris19 · 12/01/2019 16:06

Better safe than sorry I would say @Gumball54 Wink

Would it be ok for me to join?, No idea when to start tww, had solid smiley on clear blue digital ovulation test on wed, so DTD Tuesday, wed and Friday hoping this will be enough.

Age - 37
TTC # 2 after MMC last June
CD 13
Cycle 6

Going to do my best not to test early as can't face the disappointment of bfn. So very much hoping for a 2019 baby. Xx

Hi, can I join?

Age: 30

Flo says I ovulated today but from cm I'm pretty sure it was Monday / Tuesday so I'll be trying to hold off until 27th to test.... promised myself I would take a relaxed approach but it's definitely not going to be like that Blush

Also been obsessing over names! Keep asking DP if he likes 'xxx and all I get is 'mm dunno' or just a simple 'hmm'!

The baby name section on MN is where I spend most of my pastime!

@lauraliverpool

I've narrowed down 3 girl names which I'm completely set on, but absolutely no boys names! Can't find a single boys name I like :(

Omg girls, I'm the same, boys names so much harder!

On another note...has anyone started taking folic acid yet?! I have been told it's good to start pre conception but feels a bit like tempting fate?? 🤷‍♀️

ShortandSweet96 · 12/01/2019 20:30

@doris19.

Oh my god! I am so glad you asked! I haven't been taking it yet, also feel like I'm just jinxing it! My mum told me to start taking it as soon as I told her I was thinking of TTC so I've been avoiding the folic acid conversation as I know she'll be up in arms about it!

I think the day I get my BFP is when ill start taking it.

@ShortandSweet96 I like Lucy for a girl with Maureen as a middle name which was my aunty's name and for a boy Alexander which was my brother's middle name.

@Doris19 I'm taking folic acid with vitamin D boots own and also got some asdas own pregnancy multi vitamins which you can take whilst trying to conceive, I alternate between the two. I don't have the best diet so thought I'd start taking them in advance as you build up a store in your body. X

Interesting....I think I'm going to order some / pick some up tomorrow at Boots at least. Need to do stuff to keep my mind off the next 2 weeks!

@Lauraliverpool I like the names, it's always nice to continue family names as well. What do you guys think of Ramsey? It's a family name on DH side, has been used for both girls and boys. I rather like it but not sure for a girl??

We have a Montgomery John already (Monty) so need something to go with that... I've been spending this evening on all the babyname boards 🤣 Current shortlist for a boy Jasper, Dylan or Felix. And for a girl Edith (Edie), Matilda (Tilly) or Cressida (Cress?? Cressy??) Middle name probably Rose. Or Ramsey for either!!

ShortandSweet96 · 12/01/2019 20:57

@lauraliverpool. I love the name Lucy, one of my bestfriends is a Lucy.

I'm set on rose as a middle name as it's my DP's mum's name who passed away a couple of years ago. So I'm thinking either Aubrey Rose, Margot Rose or Autumn Rose. I think autumn rose is a bit of a celeb name and I live pretty rural so she may not fit in well with such a name Blush

For a bit the only name I keep bringing back to the drawing board is Knox!

@Doris19 I love Ramsey, especially for a girl. Ramsey Rose is a brave name!

Good point - don't think Ramsey Rose works 🙀

@ShortandSweet96 I think Aubrey rose is very pretty name. I've always been set on Maureen as a middle name was very close to my aunty and Alexander my brother's middle name, he passed away suddenly in march 2014 so I'd feel he will be close to me.

@Doris19 I like Jasper, Matilda is pretty.

Would you girls find out what you are having? I would, didn't with my little boy but I think I would this time. X

Doris19 · 12/01/2019 21:19

@Lauraliverpool that is a lovely plan re Alexander although so sorry to hear that. A gorgeous name. It was on my list for Monty.

I found out with Monty and will deffo find out again, mainly as I'm a total control freak!

Ps @ShortandSweet96 in your much earlier post, what is IC ?!?!

Report
ShortandSweet96 · 12/01/2019 21:20

@lauraliverpool

I definitely would! I don't think I could cope decorating a nursery and buying baby bits without knowing if its a boy or girl!

Other than a healthy happy baby, do you guys sway more towards wanting a girl more or a boy more?
Im definitely on the girl side as the way I see it, my DP is into motorcross and guitar ect, which are all things a girl can get into as a hobby too. But its not like you can take a boy out to have your nails painted or 'girly' shopping. I think having a girl would be easier to have quailty bonding time with both me and DP while having a boy I think my DP would steal him away to watch and practice motorcross! (light heartedly of course I would be perfectly happy with either!)
