Am I getting my hopes up? Or has anyone experienced similar?

I'm due on today. My cycle is on average 30 days, although last month it was 28. The longest it's been over the last year is 32, and I'm on day 31 today.

I don't feel as if AF is coming. I usually get very specific feeling cramps, and brown spotting which usually leads to red spotting pretty quickly, for a couple of days before AF arrives.

I've had very, very mild dull aches rather than cramps. Very light brown spotting only really when wiping, which looks like old blood, since thurs evening.

I've been exhausted, hungry & a bit nauseous after eating, but it was been an incredibly stressful work week with some early starts.

I had a sandwich on Wednesday which tasted a bit off 🤷‍♀️ The smell of DH's dinner made my tummy turn a bit, but not drastically. Never had that before though.

DH says my boobs look different but I can't really see it. Nipples have been a bit tender, intermittently. Not sure if I've noticed that pre AF, but it could be symptomatic of that.

BFN on IC this morning.

I just don't feel as if AF is imminent, & I don't know what to think. The bfn is throwing me off.

I didn't use OPKs this month, so may have just inexplicably ov'd later than expected.

Any thoughts ladies? Help put me out of my misery!

Got my fingers crossed for you! Your late and have symptoms :) maybe try a FRER tomorrow morning? I'm due AF Monday so I'm FRER'ing in the morning, can't say I've got any symptoms though :( good luck!!

I went a bit crazy with tests this morning. BFN on an IC so I tried a CB digi. Both in the pack were defective! Didn't get a result from either, so I cracked out my only FRER. BFN...

Still no AF and no AF symptoms. Still have a bit of brown CM. Have no clue what's going on! Fx it's implantation.

How did you get on? Fx for you

That's unlucky with the test @HelloBrass Good luck I was 3 days overdue before I got my BFP.

It's addictive isn't it! BFN this morning on a FRER with FMU so I'm 99% sure I'm out this month. Spent the last 30 mins reading old post on here (like 10 years old!!) Of anything to do with BFN at 10dpo that went on to be pregnant later on! There is still hope until AF shows I guess! Fx x

I'm going to try to hold off testing again for a few days, if AF doesn't show up. DH is away next weekend but would want to test when he's still about so may aim for Thursday.

I hope the brown CM means something, hopefully implantation, and I'm not just randomly having anovulatory cycle.

Fingers crossed for you @Brass.
This sounds a bit like me last week - tonnes of symptoms (strong metallic taste, overly emotional, foods tasting really strong or things I like tasting awful, strong smells turning my stomach, queasy on a long journey....... the list goes on). I’ve also been having the brown blood when wiping though.
Did a test on Friday (Asda digital) and got a BFP!
Did another test on Saturday morning and it was negative. Have had 2 more negatives since then and still traces of brown blood every time I go to the loo. I think the chance has gone, as symptoms have died off, but ever-hopeful.
Still no sign of my normal heavy AF, Just this weird dark brown but very light nonsense. That’s me 8 days late now. It’s so confusing!

@Teachermummy83 that's so confusing! I wouldn't know what to make of those tests. Fingers crossed AF stays away for you.

My spotting is still light, but turning red. I'm sitting with my legs crossed, willing it not to turn into AF, but I can sense it's coming now. I let myself believe it, so I'm pretty devastated. Feeling very sorry for myself today!

@hellobrass I know exactly how your feeling, I really thought this was my month, but I can feel AF is imminent, even got a pad on because I know it's inevitable! I hope your feeling better soon, and lots of luck for next month!!

Thanks @mSneddy. Certainly is. Wondering if it’s been a chemical pregnancy? Whatever the cause of the BFP, I don’t think I’ll ever trust an Asda test again!
