Hi lovelies!

A thread for the graduates of those who were waiting to TTC and are now actively trying, or very soon to be actively trying! Apologies if I've forgotten anyone or tagged the wrong people, please do join in or join later as necessary! Hoping we can continue to support and keep each other sane in this TTC madness!

@RandomUsernameHere oh hun sorry for not tagging you! I'm terrible at remembering who exactly from our group is now trying and who is still waiting. Great to see you found the thread though 😊 how are you getting on?

Thanks for starting the new thread @roller!

Might it be a good idea to remind everyone where we are in terms of cycles etc? I remember for some of you, but not others! I’m TTC #1 and am on cycle 5, have suspected endo and am 28 Grin

Roll call, great idea @BusyBee27!
I'm 27, TTC #2, Cycle 1, CD27 (poss 13dpo according to Flo but I don't chart, track or temp). AF due today or Wednesday based on last 2 cycle lengths which were 26 and 28 days since taking IUD out. BFN this morning and every morning since Friday (I have no self control!) so no idea whether I'm out or not yet until I either get a BFP or AF arrives. Bit discouraged seeing many women with a BFP by now and have had loads of promising symptoms, but will just have to wait, hope and see!

That's ok Lovely, it's so hard to keep track of what everyone's doing!

Good idea to have a recap. I'm 32, TTC DC 3, cycle 1 (but only just come off the pill and had my withdrawal bleed, so not even sure if this counts as cycle 1 yet?)

I feel a bit weird this morning, I have a strange ache around my hips and very low down in my back, but not at all like period pains. Has anyone else had something like this? I'm guessing it's something to do with coming off the pill. I can definitely say it's not exercise related unfortunately as haven't been working out Confused

How is everyone else today?x

@RandomUsernameHere I'm having exactly the same thing right now, I'm having achy hips, thighs, butt and even what feels like in my downstairs (TMI 😳). I'm due AF in 2 days and never had this before as a PMS symptom so I was hoping it's a pregnancy symptom (amongst other things) but given my streak of BFNs I'm not sure any more! Where are you in your cycle?

Hi everyone!

I have just caught up from the old thread after being off here for a week or so!

I am not ttc until sometime 2019 (possibly March) but very much ready!

My OH is the sensible one and said we need to have some things in place first before we try! He wants one of us to drive and has his driving test at the end of the month so that's one hurdle done!

I've really enjoyed reading everyone's stories (without being too much of a Nosey Parker) so going to try and be a bit more active on here!

I was telling my OH how bizarre broodiness and maternal instincts can be. Sometimes all I can think about is babies and starting a family and how it's something no one talks about but it's nice that there's a group who feels the same way

RandomUsernameHere · 27/08/2018 22:10

@notabumpjusttoomanybiscuits good luck to your DH in his driving test! Definitely completely normal to feel broody and maternal, makes the waiting so much harder though.

@rollerskaterdata I'm only CD6 counting from my withdrawal bleed so for me there's no way they could be pregnancy symptoms unfortunately. Hoping it is a good sign for you though! So funny that we've got similar symptoms!x

@notabumpjusttoomanybiscuits hey, glad you found us! GL to your OH for his driving test!

@RandomUsernameHere well deffo not a preggo symptom, AF got me this morning so I'm out! Had a wee cry and now onwards and upwards for cycle number 2! Going to pop out and get some OPKs and preseed for this cycle as I didn't chart this time round. I never knew TTC was so difficult and I'm hating it already, how am I going to cope going forward?!

Wishing you lots of luck for next cycle x

@RandomUsernameHere thank you 😊 it was a bit of a blow as I thought I had every symptom under the sun and I fell pregnant accidentally with my son. I'm starting to realise TTC is a marathon not a sprint! I've also decided once we have DC2 I'm never doing this again - we want 3 DC and with DC3 I'll just stop being careful and see what happens! Officially TTC is too stressful 😱 how are you getting on?

I completely get what you mean!!! With DD and DS we literally DTD once without protection and were lucky enough to fall pregnant, so not quite an accident but no meticulous planning either! Like you I'm already way overthinking things!! I'm good today thanks, the weird achey feeling has now gone. Hope you're feeling ok despite the disappointment x

Sorry to hear AF got you @roller, but good that you’re back up on your feet already and thinking about the next cycle, I think that’s the best way. I’d personally recommend temping over OPKing, as apparently not everyone gets a strong positive, but everyone does get the temp increase in some way (if they’re ovulating) ... I’ve found it (temping) less time-consuming and stressful so far, but perhaps that’s just me!

@Random, glad the weird pain has gone now and fingers crossed that you’ll find it just as easy to conceive DC3!

rollerskaterdata · 29/08/2018 08:24

@BusyBee27 thank you, yes I think planning my new cycle is deffo helping, I'm armed with clear blue OPKs and pre seed and ready to go! I have thought about temping but unfortunately my sleep pattern is erratic, I wake up during the night to pee and I never wake up at the same time each day so would be pointless for me I think! (been checked out and various docs say nothing wrong so just my weird quirk!). So I don't think temping would work for me. POAS is easy though so I'll give that a shot!

@BusyBee27 @RandomUsernameHere @notabumpjusttoomanybiscuits what are your plans of attack for this cycle? (Or tww depending on where you are in it!)

Sounds like a good plan @rollerskaterdata !

I'm not planning on using OPKs or doing temping for the time being, but started taking pre-conception vitamins and trying to steer clear of "nasties" and eat well x

rollerskaterdata · 29/08/2018 17:02

@RandomUsernameHere that sounds like a good plan. I have to admit I said I wasn't going to use OPKs or anything for a few months and just try and see what happens, but after not catching last month I was absolutely gutted and realised how much I want to be pregnant and have another baby. So out come the OPKs and pre seed second cycle in! 😂 now I'm sitting here just waiting for my fertile window to roll around again! And telling myself I won't go crazy this time during my next tww yeah right

BusyBee27 · 29/08/2018 21:45

@roller, fair enough, could be tricky in that case! I don’t wake up religiously at the same time every day, but temping seems to be working okay for me so far ... might go to pot this week though, as DH and I are off on holiday tomorrow! Grin I’m still in my TWW (one week in tomorrow), so hoping that will take my mind off things, especially as I’ve been in a lot of pain this cycle Sad

When are you ladies next due to ovulate?

Report
rollerskaterdata · 30/08/2018 11:16

@BusyBee27 yeah I think that's what is making me hesitant to temp, I think if I'm 6 months in to TTC and not pregnant yet using OPKs and preseed I might have to give it a go anyway...although I really hope I'm pregnant by then! I'm only on CD3 today so I think due to ovulate the beginning of not next week, but the week after! Feels like ages away! I start OPKs this coming Monday according to my cycle length so at least I get to pee on something! And then another TWW starts! 😬 fx for you this month 🤞what cycle are you on? X

@BusyBee27 oh and enjoy your holiday! Where are you off to? And sorry to hear you've been in pain, is it unrelated to TTC? (You of course don't have to say!) hope you feel better soon 💐

BusyBee27 · 30/08/2018 12:56

Sounds like a plan, although I started temping one cycle earlier than you plan to (cycle 5, which is this one) and am nearly done with the first cycle already! Time flies!

We’re off to catch some sun in Southern Europe, looking forward to it Grin Hope the time flies for you until ovulation - when I next check in next Friday you’ll be heading into fertile week! Enjoy peeing on the sticks in the meantime Wink

Oh and re the pain: it’s possibky endometriosis related, but I don’t have a proper diagnosis yet ... could also be partly due to stress caused by work, so hopefully I’ll feel better after a holiday! On that note, have a good week and I’ll be back soon Smile

@rollerskaterdata very good thank you! Got my new 12 week scan next Friday so really looking forward to that. Everything's starting to get a bit hectic wedding planning wise as it's now in less than 8 weeks time. Got my hen do in 2 weeks time... still haven't decided if I'm telling people I'm pregnant or pretending to drink.
Symptom wise, I feel pretty much normal. Some days I feel hungover as I'm knackered and nauseous. But all round, I'm good!
How are you?!

I've joined the due march club but it's just not the same! 😞😂
