OPK/BBT Help!

Hello! DP & I are TTC DC1 - we have been NTNP since February but I decided to start charting and using OPK's this cycle.

My cycle pretty consistently always 40 days, and the fertility apps I am using all suggest then upcoming week is my fertile week.

I used an OPK last night, one this morning (not FMU) and have just taken another.
The OPK's from today have a stronger second line (although I realise they are still negative), but going by the OPK's plus my chart, would you say I'm gearing up to ovulate soon?

On the picture of the OPK's, the top one is from last night, the second is from this morning and the bottom one is the one I've just taken.

Any advice greatly appreciated 🤗

Bbt only indicate that you have or have not ovulated - it is no help in predicting when in the future on a single cycle. If you have regular cycles it can help you predict that it will be about the same day in future cycles.

Opk is quite close I'd say... yes again before bed and then tomorrow morning (not first wee of the day).

Mine looked like that on Friday and then yesterday (Saturday) mine was positive. I would say you’re very close, they will probably be positive today or tomorrow! Love OPKs, I don’t temp as I’m not a morning person (halfway through my shower before I’ve realised I’ve forgotten to take my temp lol) but OPKs work great IMO! X

Thanks @physicskate and @Ells0204! I used another OPK this morning which looks slightly lighter than yesterday - do you think that it's safe to assume I ovulated sometime between yesterday afternoon and this morning?

Nope. A positive opk indicates ovulation in 12-72 hours.

It is also impossible to say whether you WILL ovulate or not, a positive is just indicative, not confirmation. Plus that may have not been the surge - there is generally some LH in your system at all points in your cycle.

Really, you'll just have to figure out based on bbt temp rise in the next few days.
