Pill making me ill?

I stopped taking the combined pill because, for about a week at the start of the pack, I felt sick. So I switched to the mini pill. Now I still feel queasy often. It’s really annoying now. I wish I could just stop putting hormones into my body, but I don’t want to risk a pregnancy(already have all the kids I want!) and I hate condoms! I feel great when I’m not taking anything though.
Seems to effect my IBS
Anyone else experience anything like this?

My friend made her really ill. She had the coil put in and is much happier.

Yep, I swapped to one with less oestrogen but the same pill and if helped. I thought I was pregnant all the time as basically had morning sickness, boobs gutted, put on weight etc. Now better on a new one but still have some issues like car sickness which only started with this pill. Grr. One day there will be a solution that suits without masses of hormones pumped into our body

Thanks ladies. Tried the coil a few years ago and I spotted/bled constantly. Wasn’t for me at all.

Do you mind me asking what the pill was called @Digestive28 ? I’m taking cerelle

It was cerelle and still is but they do a version that has lower oestrogen. I have been gradually trialling all possible pills and this is the one that suits me best, not perfect but not as awful as others!

If you look on your GPs website they will have someone who specialises in women’s health or similar, I would advise going to see them as that worked for me, as they had an interest and extra training etc in this area so I found more helpful

I’ll do that. Thanks so much. I’ve got a big holiday coming up and I really don’t want to feel nauseous the entire time

DD has endless problems with the pill, she has successfully used the contraceptive patch for 18 months without an issue,
