Hi everyone was just wondering if I could have some advice. Friday night I did a clear blue test and got a faint positive so repeated on Saturday and got a stronger positive. Did another test on Saturday night and got another positive. I bought a digital one before and it said negative and now I've come on my period, could the test be wrong?

It could have been a chemical pregnancy Flowers

Should I retest in a few days?

You can try OP, but it could be chemical as purplepotatoes says. Modern tests pick up pregnancy so much earlier now, so we can know we're pregnant v early - but it's also not uncommon to lose the baby v early. In the old days, the woman prob wouldn't have been any the wiser, and just thought it was a late period. Now, we can sometimes tell with 'chemical' tests, hence the name. If it is a chem, doesn't make it any less horrid, and I'm really sorry for your loss if it's the case :(

You could do, just for peace of mind but tbh I've had a chemical pregnancy (basically a very very early miscarriage) and the lines were gone within a day. If your period is the same as it usually is (i.e. not just spotting when you usually have heavy flow) then I think it's unlikely you would still be pregnant, sorry.

It is possible to mistake implantation bleeding for a light period so don't give up hope, but if it's a normal period flow it may not be a viable pregnancy Flowers.

I agree it could have been a chemical pregnancy unfortunately. But sometimes blue line tests do show up with faint lines rhat could be an evaporation line. Do you have any pics of these?

It unfortunately sounds like a chemical pregnancy (very very early miscarriage). One of the downsides to modern pregnancy tests, as @flyingplum said. Before the advent of modern pregnancy tests most women didn't find out until their period was two weeks late, now we're able to find out before our period is even due!

I suspect I've even had a chemical pregnancy before but didn't realise at the time. My period was a few days late a few years ago, which it never normally is. I also had nausea and tender breasts, but just when I was going to take a test I got what I thought was my period, but it was heavier and more painful than it normally is. I'll never know for sure though. I've also had a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks. It's a terrible loss no matter how far along you are.

I'd retest again in a few days to make sure, but every time I've heard of a test being positive but then becoming negative it's never been good news. I'm sorry Flowers

I would test again just to be sure.

Thank you everyone for your advice. It's so frustrating because my periods are never regular so I feel like I'm always doing them. I have got a picture of them but it's not giving me the option to upload them
