Those who use ovulation tests
I'm looking for any tips.

I've got some cheap dip stick ones from amazon but also the Clearblue digital...

I was thinking use the cheapies then when I see a change to use the Clearblue.. does that seem feesible?

Also confused as read on here not to use FMU but the CB doesn't mention this!?!

Am I best to do say 10am each day?

Hoping this will help us to at least feel like we are doing something. But have to admit feel abit daunted by it Hmm

The clearblue advance ones do need fmu, Internet cheapies don't want fmu. I've personally never got a positive off an internet cheapie, only the expensive clearblue advance! You could use the cheapies say twice a day in the few days leading to ovulation and if you think it's around your actual ovulation time then start using the expensive ones too?

I did a mix so I didn't miss the start of the LH surge. I did use the CB ones in the morning and got a positive at the same time as the cheaper ones from the supermarket x

Thank You both much appreciated feedback.

Think il mix it up with them both and see how we get on.

With the CB digital, you need to start testing on a specific day in your cycle (varies depending on cycle length), so that it's got a 'control' level to start from. You won't get an accurate result just randomly using them.

You use fmu with a CB digital, and then once you get a flashing smiley you can test more frequently - this is when I bring the cheapies into play, as it works out less expensive. So use a CB every morning, and then once I get a flashing smiley, use cheapies at other points in the day to be sure of catching the surge.

I use the cheap internet tests in the evening and when the line starts getting darker nearer the control line colour I switch to doing the clearblue fmu. This is the best way I have found as I normally only need to use 2-3 clear blue tests per month before I get the static smiley so very cost effective!
