Anyone else about to start their 2WW?

Cycle 3
Ovulation date either 10/03 or 11/03, or maybe today (FF isn't sure yet...)
AF due 25/03

I used OPKs and did temping for the first time this month, I got a +OPK saturday morning and the following morning my temp had spiked. That seems a very quick turnaround to me...I thought it was usually around 2-3 days between the + and the temp going up?

All this stuff is so confusing! Remember those teen years when they told us how easy it was to get pregnant to scare us? They were full of shite Grin

Cycle 3 (chemical in Jan)
5/6 DPO - ovulation 5th/6th March
AF due 21st March

Can't help re OPK & temping unfortunately as have never used, all my eggs are in Glow's basket right now, so to speak. Dead accurate so far, even around the chemical.

Symptoms - boobs heavy and nips sore (ish - not stingy but sensitive), heavy, crampy, twingey uterus, backache & a bit tired. Don't have the flash headaches, clumsiness or vivid dreams I had with January bfp. Basically could be preggo, could just be normal progesterone ahead of AF.

Stockpile of internet cheapies ready to go and won't order any FRER's til the back end of the week to avoid a repeat performance of February's peed on expenditure

Good luck to you & to all

That’s the thing isn’t it, early PG symptoms are identical to pre-AF symptoms! Last month i was symptom spotting like mad, this month I will try to hold back and try not to drive myself bonkers!

@passtheaftereights what is Glow? Is it an app?

It is - the only reason I chose it was that it didn't depend on temping and charting and OPK's, it reckons its good enough at tracking dates and symptoms to be accurate. Turns out I have pretty regular 29 day cycles (didn't know coming off the pill after 13 years) so suspect that's why it's worked quite well for me - I think the more sophisticated apps work better for people with unpredictable cycles. The community chat is triple cringe too. But I like the interface, it's easy - in the early ttc days I was a bit overwhelmed with the sight of a chart!!

Taking a leaf out of your book on the symptom spotting today & giving it a rest, the joy of mortgage applications to take your mind off things...!!

Cycle 1
AF due 24/03 (on a 39 day cycle)

Based on previous two cycles, should be just at the end of FW now. Been peeing on the cheapie opks from Amazon for 10 days or so, but no positive yet. But I feel like I have ovulated Confused

Went off the pill in end November, before the pill cycle used to be 28-30 days, after pill have had two 39 day cycles. Feel some symptoms, but not sure whether I'm preggers or if the cycle is shortening and AF is signalling her arrival.

Good luck to all and Fx

Welcome Jallebi!

I’ve heard that the cheapie OPKs can be a bit hit and miss and hard to read, I went for the clear blue smilies even though they are really expensive Hmm but there’s no mistaking the smily face!

I hope I conceive soon...all this OPKs, preg tests and pre-seed is working out bloody expensive! I can’t believe I spend so much money on stuff to piss on Grin

Was thinking of this as a trial month, so went with the cheapest opks this time. But they have been of no help. So might have to move to the smilies from next month.

"I can’t believe I spend so much money on stuff to piss on" - The only reason why I haven't bought any preg tests yet, coz even though I know they won't work yet, if I have them in the house, I'll be peeing on them day and night. Must remain firm, must not buy any tests till AF is late. Repeat on loop.

I'm approx 2dpo lol I got a positive opk Sunday night and had ovulation symptoms since so I think I'm around 2dpo. I use cheapie opks and they've been spot on for me.

Got a stash of ic tests I plan to start using may be next Wednesday or Thursday lol I'll be around 10dpo as who am I kidding I always test early these days as it softens the blow! If not pregnant this month booking a dr app

Good luck ladies xx

On the £ front - last month was an absolute wake up call, 10 one-line FRER's in the bin (used an amazon voucher for 4 of them, but still). Never again. Realise I have a POAS addiction & rather than go cold turkey bought the one-step cheapies for 15p each. Peed to my heart's content, barely even checking the outcome. So far haven't felt the smallest inclination to buy a FRER - will treat myself to one at 11dpo.

Going to really try not to obsess this month (haha who am I kidding?!). Have done SMEP with the Clearblue digital OV test this month, and have to say that I am really fed up of sex!! 😂

Tefiti sorry about your chemical Flowers

I know what you mean about being fed up with sex. I was quite relieved when ov was well and truly over and I could have a break!

Hi,

TTC #1
Cycle 1
CD 24

Complete newbie here! Smile
I've been tracking my cycles using natural cycles since Jan. According to the app, I ovulated on CD 20 which is a bit later than usual. We DTD on that day and then I had some fairly heavy brown spotting for 3 days after that. Today is the first day of no spotting since then but I am starting to experience some AF symptoms (tingly boobs, vivid dreams, slight cramping, feeling irritated) even though AF is not expected until 27/3/18. It's going to be a long two weeks...!

Thinking of testing next weekend with FRER when I'll be 10 days dpo. This is my first month and already I'm starting to go a little mad!Confused
Wishing you all luck Star xxx

@Slou14 ah yes it's a long two weeks but welcome and you've come to the right place!

I shamefully did an opk today just to see two lines that's what delusion of 15 months does to you Hmm I'm trying to stay positive though I'm about 5dpo...got sore boobs, bowl movement (sorry tmi) and vivid dreams so mostly pointing to af coming but this next week is going to be a long wait l think I'll text next Wednesday anyway!

I’m 8DPO and have really sore boobs. My BBT massively dropped this morning, which apparently can be a sign of implantation. I’m trying not to get my hopes up too much though!

Hi.
I'm ttc #1
Cycle 2
Aged 38

Currently only tried OPK this month and randomly got the smiley face on the first POAS. Which was Tuesday. We DTD immediately then 48 hours later. So now 5DPO. I think I have 31 day cycle. Can I ask should I start testing after 2 weeks. March 28th. Or Should I wait for AF due date April 1st. I know it's only a few days but the wait is agonizing as you guys know.

Thanks for any advise
X

Hi Ladies,
I'm on the bus again after a break in feb as I was away during OV time.
Facts and figures are:
Age: 39 (ouch)
TTC #1
Cycle #8
Chemical x 2 Sept and Dec

I got a bit cranky last month with OPK's that weren't tallying up. I think the easiest to read is deff the Clearblue with smiley faces. Also my cycles after last chemical were wonky to say the least but seem to be back to standard 28 last month and this month. That said, wonky cycles is also a sympton of coming off Cerazette Progesterone only pill so I'm rolling with it . . .

We are following SMEP approach this month and throwing one extra in either side. DTD x3 more to go, today, tomorrow and Wednesday. Its not the most romantic that's for sure but as DH says 'we've just got to do it!'

fingers crossed for everyone this month. I have to say in hindsight taking a month off, whilst forced to do so, has reinvigorated both of us to crack on.

@Shk38 there's no right or wrong on when to test as early tests are available ( although for me with chemicals they were never positive until AF due date) and all women have their own view but the main thing is that tests can't really be considered wholly accurate until your AF due date. Perhaps try and save yourself the stress and wait. Equally, 'they say' that chemicals are very common (up to 50%) and we only know about them because we can test early, in previous decades the tech wasn't available. I'm a bit mixed on that, but having had two it gives me hope there is no issue with me/us. So this month, no testing till AF due date has firmly past!
xx
