Bump growing help :) please

Hello fellow mumsnetters it's me again. I am, currently 5 weeks and 4 days pregnant. I am following everything I can do I have come completely off caffeine accept from, I did treat myself to a diet coke today which has been yummy!

My bump has started growing already it seems to be getting bigger each week. Now I know it's early on already but I just wanted to know if it's normal? Because I seem to be already growing quite quickly and quite big. I have been doing everything properly I sometimes feel sick in the morning but after my caffeine free tea i am all good.

I don't think you show an actual 'bump' until much later on (14 weeks+). You definitely bloat early on though so it's perfectly normal to be getting a round tummy!

At 5 weeks your baby is the size of a seed. You could have 5 in their and it wouldn't change the size of your belly at this stage.

@8daysaweek I just feel like my belly is constantly getting bigger we have been taking pictures each week as we thought it was too early yet for a bump x

When I look back at my pics from very early pregnancy it seems the same! But it's very likely water retention as PP said. Keep in mind too that baby is loooow right now and isn't anywhere near your tummy yet!

I remember thinking I had a huge bump with DD1 at 5 weeks... it was bloating. It will reduce before your actual baby bump starts growing.
As a PP said, the baby is the size of a seed at the moment. Even if there is 2 in there, that’s the size of 2 seeds. Still not big enough to give you a bump.

You are 5 weeks pregnant. You wouldn't have found out until you were 4 weeks pregnant so when you say each week, you mean a maximum of twice? Any bump at this stage is just bloating and will ease in time. Expect to wait a few months before any kind of baby bump.

I found out I was pregnant at 3 weeks. We have taken a total of 3 pictures that's all. It's our first pregnancy with baby number 1 so it is a exciting time for us where I suppose we can think anything. But no matter what we are excited thanks for all the comments though everyone x

You might get a better response on any pregnancy questions in the Pregnancy section though. Most of us are still ttc in Conception
