Been trying for 6 months now, had those ovulation blood tests done on Friday (cycle day 1) due to go back on cycle day 21. Anyone else had them done? And is there anything to worry about?
I've got a 6 year old but worried I can't have anymore

6 months is very average for conception... I'm assuming you're over 35?? You might want to google the statistics, but you have somewhere between 10-30% chance of conceiving each month up to the age of forty. That means up to 80% will conceive in a year.

Those tests aren't anything to worry about... they may (but more likely won't) find a problem that may be fixed.

It's also important your partner has a sperm analysis because in a third of cases, that is the cause of delayed conception.

Thank you for getting back to me!! I'm 30 this year, what's the percentage for that age? My partner has sent his sample off just waiting on results.

Normally they won't test until you hit the 12 month mark because 80% will conceive in a year at your age.

My gp wouldn't offer me tests until 2 years ttc!! But that's another story... oh and I'm 34 now.

Like psychicskate says better to know if theres a problem that way you can deal with it and not wait too long wasting time. If I dnt conceive this month im goin to my gp to get tested. Ive been ttc on and off for 2yrs lol
