Can losing weight delay ovulation?

I usually have a regular 29 day cycle but came on a day early last month but wondering if losing weight can delay ovulation? I've lost 17lb in 4 weeks so wondering is this is the cause for me not ovulating when I usually do?

17lbs in 4 weeks is an incredible amount. I want to say well done but I think that is a massive shock to your body and I'd say a shock to the body could def mess with ovulation.

Take it a bit easier on the dieting mate unless you are under a doctor . Good luck

It's with slimming world so completely change the way I cook/eat cooking from scratch instead of freezer food and takeaways ect still have one once a week but a healthier option. I'm a big woman so I think alot of it was water but now under 16stone. Thank you hopefully I will ovulate this month if not carry on next month lol

Yes.

Estrogen is stored in fat cells and when you lose lots of weight quickly it's released in to your blood stream. The increase can do weird things to your cycle.
