Dreading the appearance of AF

DP and I have been TTC baby number 1. I’ve been tracking my cycle using Ovia and Flo and according to the app I’m due on my period in 4 days. I have extremely irregular cycles and I think this is the longest I’ve gone between periods and I’m praying I’m pregnant but I’ve not got tender breasts or anything and I have got cramps. I’ve not taken a test yet because I know it’s too early, however I have just bought some FRER tests that should be arriving on Monday. I have this awful feeling that I’m not pregnant and every time I go to the toilet I’m frightened to look in case AF has appeared. All I want is to be pregnant and I feel ridiculous!! But I don’t know how we can keep TTC if I feel like this every time AF draws near.

I’m not sure what I want from posting this - just reassurance that I can keep on trying. I feel selfish because I know some people TTC for years but I honestly don’t know how they do it - I’m barely coping and it’s only been a few months!

It's still early days from the sounds of it. I know what you mean, I'm always disappointed when I see AF and I have irregular cycles which us pretty annoying- my longest between AFs was 72 days!! We're ttc #1 too. We're on cycle 3. I honestly thought it would immediate, but it hasn't been. Just try to relax, keep dtd and you'll get there. If you put too much pressure on yourself, that won't help.

Thank you! I know, having irregular periods is the worst bit. This is the only time I’ve envied people who have a period every month haha! I’m trying not to stress over it too much but I can’t help it. I’m due a scan next Thursday for suspected PCOS so that’s making my mind race too.
