Anyone else in the 2ww?

1dpo cycle 1 post-mc, AF due 20/02 - last 2ww thread I was on got me through!

Trying to follow Kwick's rules for 2ww, no hot baths / cold veg etc, and not to react to every single twinge hmm

MercuryRising Wed 07-Feb-18 19:28:57

I will join you PassTheAfterEights AF is also due for me on 20/02. We are cycle 5 TTC #4. I have had some pink spotting today but am unable to DTD as DP is unwell although we did manage yesterday. Can I ask why no hot baths during the TWW?

MercuryRising Wed 07-Feb-18 19:29:33

Also sorry about your mc x

Newmrs22 Wed 07-Feb-18 19:34:50

I'll join. I'm 3DPO, cycle 2 TTC #2. AF due on the 18th-21st (varies a bit)
I'm already massively symptom spotting, even though I know I couldn't possibly have symptoms yet. Good luck

Daisymalone Wed 07-Feb-18 19:46:34

Hi can I join? I'm on my first proper cycle after a miscarriage in December so either Cycle #5 or #6 overall depending on whether the miscarriage cycle counts (I did ovulate 2 weeks after so I guess it does?) I am currently either 6 or 8dpo today (conflicting ff data) so af due either on the 12th or 14th. Hoping for a lovely valentines surprise! Fingers crossed for everyone x

PassTheAfterEights Wed 07-Feb-18 21:07:13

Thanks all not leaving me by my tod smile nice to have some company while I try not to drive myself crazy, wish a quick few days for all of us!

Hadn't even thought about Valentine's surprise, good point!! Fx for you, sorry that you had sad news last year.

@mercuryrising thank you x I saw a 2ww cheat sheet from @Kwick on the JS'ing thread a while back and she's been a proper battling inspiration so thought I'd keep it in mind; someone has an image of it somewhere but what I can remember is keep feet and kidneys warm, laugh & think positive, eat fresh pineapple daily, no heavy lifting, no baths and avoid raw veg b/c it diverts blood supply apparently!! Definitely lighthearted but thought it can't hurt ;)

I'm in too. 3 DPO now but I don't think this is our month! AF is due at the end of next week (ish). I'm usually like clockwork but last month was longer than usual so I'm not entirely sure how that will impact my cycle.

Let's try and keep each other sane in the longest two weeks!! x

MamaL86 Thu 08-Feb-18 06:36:12

Oh dear, well I've been having baths everyday since ovulation confused. Currently 7po and not feeling any symptoms but have everything crossed for this cycle. It's so hard not to symptom spot isn't it?! Wishing you all lots of baby dust flowers

Daisymalone Thu 08-Feb-18 06:58:07

Same here @MamaL86. Was actually sat in a hot bath when I found this thread! I find it helps with the cramping and backache I've been experiencing.

MamaL86 Thu 08-Feb-18 07:39:13

Haha @ daisymalone. Those symptoms sound like they could be promising though? Sounds like we're due AF around the same time. Fingers crossed she doesn't materialise for either of us! I don't have any symptoms so trying not to get my hopes up though.

Daisymalone Thu 08-Feb-18 08:09:38

I don't think symptom spotting helps. Every month I think, Ooo I've never had these cramps/this feeling etc and then I have a quick check of last months ff notes and actually I did and I wasn't pregnant. Doesn't stop me obsessing slightly though...

PassTheAfterEights Thu 08-Feb-18 09:10:18

@MamaL86 @Daisymalone a wise MNer said to me when I had my mc and I was cut up about what I might have done (I did aqua aerobics and DTD the day before and was very angry with myself) that if having babies depended on not moving / going in water / having sex the human race would have ended a long time ago. And how many ppl don't know for weeks bc they aren't trying or aren't looking for symptoms like us nutters and carry on with normal life. I think it's just a lighthearted way to make you think you're doing something proactive when the truth is if it's there and it's going to stick it'll stick. Sorry to worry 😞🛁

Hi @cookiesaurus! How are you? X

SweetMummy911 Thu 08-Feb-18 10:22:06

Can I join? I'm currently 8DPO and AF is due on 15th Feb - I'm desperate to test. With my daughter I got my BFP at 11DPO so thinking of POAS on Monday which would make me 12DPO.... baby dust to all and here is to lots of BFP announcements flowers

Fififiesta Thu 08-Feb-18 10:38:54

I'm in! CD24 here.

No idea when or if I Od, wasn't able to test every day. My cycle is irregular so expecting AF from CD27-CD35 (usually).

Had terrible cramps yesterday, all day, was sure AF was arriving but they've gone today. Some pain on my left side down there but not sure if it's related.

Fingers cross for you all!

MamaL86 Thu 08-Feb-18 12:11:34

Thanks @ PassTheAfterEights. You make a very good point! I'm quite sure loads of people fall pregnant by accident and go on to have healthy pregnancies despite doing things you're not supposed to. Ironically, this was probably me last time around too! I'm a bit envious of my younger self as there was no anxious 2ww. I'm determined not to symptom spot this month. When I did fall pregnant with Dc1 I knew before I tested because I was shattered each evening - not sure I experienced cramps or anything like that. My memory may be a bit hazy though as I got my bfp almost ten years ago grin

PassTheAfterEights Fri 09-Feb-18 09:54:37

Hi @Sweetmummy911 and @Fififiesta waves welcome! Ahhh Monday is exciting, everything crossed for you!

@MamaL86 interesting - I am exhaaaauusted yesterday and today, can't wake up / achieve anything in the am and so ready for bed (usually I'm a definite night owl!), same with last successful 2ww but told DH not to get excited as even if we conceived we're a long way from a BFP.

How's everyone feeling?

weasledee Fri 09-Feb-18 09:56:35

I'll join!

2DPO so a while to go yet! smile
TTC no. 3 smile
Good luck everyone!

jasmin93 Fri 09-Feb-18 11:01:52

Hi guys, may I join you ?
ttc 1
cycle 4

This time i used one step ovulation sticks to stay on top of my cycle.
Since yesterday i feel bloated and experience cramps.
I guess that is a sign for my egg being released?
Dtd yesterday and the day before. Fingers crossed!

Af is due on 20/02, the week I visit my family in Germany.
Good Luck to everyone!!

Mama87 Fri 09-Feb-18 11:20:16

Hiya can i join too please?
4dpo ttc for the 3rd month
Af due 20/2
Don't want to get my hopes up but since 2dpo i have had a weird feeling (not a pain) in my lower left groin/pelvic area
Yeaterday 3dpo this was joined by lower back pain
Today is the same has anyone else had this at all and possibly got a BFP at the end of it? Thankyou x

Fififiesta Fri 09-Feb-18 12:47:44

Mama I'm CD25 and have had pelvic pain mainly on my left side for 10 days now. I have bad cramps like AF is coming though had them since Monday but they are getting worse every day. I keep going to the toilet expecting to see her grand entrance. I really hope it's a good sign for you though!

Fed up with it even though this is cycle 1. I am impatient! Have pretty much counted myself out this month as have had cramps for days and also bitten DH's head off over nothing twice this week. Thing is I dont normally pay attention to my symptoms so I dont really know if I normally get cramps for days before AF. I also have a weird heavy feeling down there so I had a good bawl to DH this morning about it not being our month.

If AF is coming she'd better get here soon! angry

Melamine Fri 09-Feb-18 13:11:58

I'm 11-ish DPO and have had the most horrendous tension/sinus horrendous headaches all day since 9DPO. Paracetemol not touching them but don't want to take ibuprofen as well, which is what I usually would do. I occasionally get them but usually mid-month so of course I'm reading that as perhaps they are hormonal and therefore.... No other symptoms at all, though we all know no symptoms are in fact a symptom to spot! 😂

Fififiesta Fri 09-Feb-18 13:16:47

Mel sorry to hear you're poorly have you tried long hot baths in a very steamy room? They are all that helps me. I think that worse thing about ttc is behaving as if you are pregnant by taking care with alcohol, medicine etc (I know a lot of people don't do this and have no issue with that but I do it) and then finding out you are not pregnant.

Melamine Fri 09-Feb-18 13:54:25

Ta @fififiesta, a lovely bath is definitely on for tonight, no idea why I have shied away from ibuprofen as I got reasonably pissed last weekend 😂 I just feel that then it might not have even been fertilised, but if it was, it would be implanted by now so best to be safe?! Silly really.

Mama87 Fri 09-Feb-18 14:03:23

@Fififiesta thankyou for your reply. Last month we thought we were as my boobs nearly doubled in size and were so sore but that happens a week before AF is due, turned out AF came a week early so that explains that one but this i just can not explain its not pain just a strange pulling sensation

PassTheAfterEights Fri 09-Feb-18 14:21:44

Hi to all the newbies, and good luck!

Last 2ww I had the bloating, heavy feeling / sort of cramping but not painful - just increased awareness of the area, lower back ache, heightened emotion, undentable one-sided headaches on and off and I was clumsy as fk. BFP at 9dpo.

Have it all again now but feeling sooo much more cautious. If dates are right it's early for AF but the symptoms could mean either. So frustrating!
