Can anyone help me stop getting my hopes up?

Hello, we're on cycle 7.
I've been using the Cbfm and this month it's decided to only give me high readings but we carried on with the SMEP plan, from my baby and normal cycle I should have ov day 14 and I'm now cd 23.

My temp was staying high, and last night I've had pink watery discharge with what I can only describe as a uti feeling. This morning that has all gone and my bbt has dropped down.
I've convinced myself I have sore nipples but to be honest that's probably because is freeezing here.

Is this all a good sign? When would you test if so? I'm normally a 26-28 day cycle if that helps.

Thanks

Why was the post deleted?

I thought BBT dropping usually suggested AF was on its way.

I think the poster is a troll. They posted on several conception threads at roughly the same time and all have been deleted by MHNQ. So probably a good thing we can't see what they said!

I would probably hold on until AF is due if you can just because if your BBT has dropped then it might mean AF is on her way, and I wouldn't want the early disappointment. That said it was bloody cold last night so maybe that's why your temp is down! Fingers crossed for you.

Thank you, I just read about implantation dip. I'm just so fed up of ttc now x

Oh yeah could be! You're about 9dpo right? That's average implantation day I believe. Fingers crossed - maybe wait and see if your temp is back up in two days and test then if you can hold on til then? 11dpo on a FRER should show something Flowers

Feel your pain. Been no-contraception for 10 cycles and actively ttc for 6 so not far behind you. I honestly take my hat off to the ladies on here who've been at this game for years, don't know how they keep it together.

Good luck xx

I couldn't agree more @Miserablemouse I hope we both get there soon.

I won't lie I feel absolutely awful, think I've got cystitis now so on the cystitis relief horrible stuff ☹️

Ugh gag, that horrible cranberry powder! Sigh. Cystitis from all the extra sex and not peeing afterwards because you've got to hold your legs in the air even though that is almost certainly an old wives tale that makes no difference? The things we put up with!

I decided this month I'd get all the crazy out in one go so using the CB ovulation sticks, doing SMEP, drinking grapefruit juice every day even though I hate it, taking evening primrose oil on top of my normal vits and spritzing myself nightly with magnesium spray "just in case" I have a magnesium deficiency Hmm

Have a Brew & Cake to wash down that vile cranberry stuff. Hope it clears up!

Have you tried just having lots of sex and then trying to keep busy not focus on temps etc post ov? It might help you relax a bit? Wishing you lots of luck.

Rose, thanks for the well wishes, that's kind.
Without wishing to be rude, telling people who've been trying a while to just "have lots of sex and relax" is possibly the most irritating thing you can do (and I haven't been trying half as long as lots of the people on here).

Of course that is the ideal approach. I tried it for 9 cycles, it didn't work. I'm now trying some extra things too (most of which are almost certainly old wives tales and utter nonsense but hey, you do what you can).

Update:
Had a few faint positives but af just started tonight, along with a bbt dip.
I'm gutted, will be the third chemical in 7 months.

Oh @iamgru so sorry to hear that. Look after yourself.

I know GPs generally don’t want to know until it’s been a year but is it worth seeing them and mentioning the 3 chemicals? I’m no expert at all but I’m sure I’ve seen things on the boards before about women with lots of chemicals being given progesterone pessaries and it helping? Possibly something to mention to your doctor.

Flowers & Wine for you, I hope you get a sticky one soon xx

That's really hard. Sorry.

Have you looked into b vitamins?
B6 is a good supplement for lengthening luteal phase.
They sell 50mg tabs in Superdrugs. Most people take between 50-150mg.

I have taken 100mg daily with my successful pregnancies.

It's fine in pg too as is given for morning sickness so it's fed worth thinking about.

Well yet another update, the bleeding stopped as soon as I'd updated! No af cramps or anything really, but I took a frer in case and have a very faint line but it's darker than Fridays.

Who knows what's going on!!!
HmmConfused

Can anyone help me stop getting my hopes up?

@IamGru sorry to jump on the thread but thought I might be able to help with the cystitus- I take triple strength cranberry tablets, one a day, and since I have been taking them I haven't had one UTI. I am also TTC and with all the extra DTD, these tablets are lifesavers Smile

Hello ladies, I know it's hard (trust me when I say I know what you are going through, I tried for 5 years) but I got there in the end and he is my rainbow baby. I didn't understand why I wasn't getting pregnant so I asked my doctor for every test I could (found a massive polyp blocking the area where implantation was likely to happen, had it removed) and then I found out the first time I was pregnant when u was having my house renovated, I had spent so much time sorting everything out that I had forgotten to 'try' to get pregnant and it happened, it wasn't to be that time but as I got plastered over Christmas and new year (it happened in November '16) I told my dh it was too soon to try again but apparently I was wrong and I fell pregnant in January last year and he is the most perfect baby SO ladies, what I'm trying to say is PLEASE don't give up hope, go through the crazy, talk to your partners and family and have fun, I have faith if it can happen for me then anything's possible. xxSmile
