Opk as HPT! Please help...

Ok so I last took an HPT at 9dpo and was BFN so thought I was out however Af still hasn't showed at 14dpo and I've just got a Pos OPK (because I am an idiot and self confessed POAS addict)! Does this mean anything? Has anyone reliably used an opk as HPT before and actually been pregnant! I have no more HPT in the house and my local shops only sell blue dye which are crap 👎 TIA

I got a positive OPK when I was pregnant! Have you got anymore HPTs?

I don't want to get your hopes up but in my own personal experience a blindingly positive OPK and a few days late did mean pregnant. I'd say it's certainly worth going and getting a real pregnancy test.

I got a positive opk on day 30 of my (usually 28 or so) day cycle. I then did a pregnancy test which was positive.
Opks will show as positive throughout a pregnancy (I was curious).
I've got a 3 year old.

I tried this when I was pregnant and had some spare opk's kicking around. There was a second line but not strong until I was quite well into the pregnancy. But if you know you've already ovulated in this cycle then a strong positive could mean something.
Good luck!

I'm also a POAS addict and got a strong positive on an OPK when pregnant (the only strong positive I've ever seen on an OPK)
Good luck!

Yikes! Thanks everyone. I'm still in a massive amount of shock. After testing at 9dpo (which on reflection could have been 8dpo 🙈😳) I was convinced I was out this month. I've just told hubby and he about fell off his chair 😂😂 baby #3 on the way hopefully! 🤞. Good luck to everyone else TTC x

I'm freaking out now about false positives on this particular test...why oh why do I google these things 😔 If it's a false pos it's pretty bloody convincing. I feel like I need to test again with a diff brand I just don't trust the blue dye 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have had 4 pregnancies and always used the same test you have and have never had a false positive. Maybe go to your GP for a blood test? Congrats momma!!

I was like that when I tested positive on a blue dye. The noise DS2 is making right now though is pretty good proof it was an accurate test!
It's quite a strong positive you've got there, I think the false ones have been tests that have shown up really faint because people can see where the dye should be.
