very early miscarriage?

Sorry, I am new to all of this so just need to ask. My period was one day late and I decided to test, had waited until it was late as don't like to test any sooner. The test was positive (just a cheapy) but the day after my period came. It has been slightly heavy than normal and on day 3 I passed a really large clot with like a big stringy bit attached.

We dtd several times during my fertile window. Could it be a miscarriage, can that happen or just a big clot? I don't usually get clots.

Thanks in advance if you have any wisdom.

Hi same happened to me last month, it was an early miscarriage. I had a positive on a digi on thurs 28th Dec saying 1-2 weeks which was correct from when i ovulated (I also did a cheapie a few days before and had a faint line). But the following day in the afternoon I started bleeding brownish then the day after red with clots etc. I bled for 5 days then did a digi test which confirmed not pregnant. I’m now in the tea again - 8 dpo and am hoping I’m pregnant this month although some symptoms are the same and some not so I have no idea.

Hi hunni, if you've had a positive test then it could very well be a very very early miscarriage. Without blood tests however it would be difficult to confirm. I would recommend either contacting your local EPU for advise or if you'd rather not at least take another test in a few days to see if the result has changed. If it's still showing positive you may need to get everything checked over. Good luck xx

Hi - I started off bleeding brownish which doesn't usually happen before it went bright red etc... does sound like it then. I didn't feel 'right' no other word for it just wasn't feeling myself and have since felt lots better.

@Kit1411 I'm also currently in the tww although just behind you at 4dpo following an early miscarriage at 6 weeks last month. Continually flitting between nervous, excited, worried, doubtful, hopeful etc. The next 6-10 days are going to drag!!!!! Wishing you lots of luck too x

Thanks @mamabear05 this was a few days ago now since the bleeding stopped I will do another test although I know will be negative but it's a good idea. I am a diabetic and my sugars haven't been behaving so can't have helped. Thank you

Thank you. Sorry to you though, it’s upsetting to go from feeling happy to sad. My hormones were a bit up and down for a few days after so lots of tears. I had a terrible migraine and sickness all day before the brown bleeding so must’ve been my hormones. Hope you’re feeling ok.

Ah @mama so sorry to hear that. Good luck to you this month, I hear you’re more fertile after a mc, but I really am toying between yes and no this month. I’m comparing symptoms to last month which I shouldn’t do.

Me too. Part of me wants to look out for symptoms that are the same as last cycle since I conceived then but the other part of me wants different symptoms since that pregnancy didn't last. So confusing! Have to just be patient I know but it's so hard! Good luck to you so and so sorry to hear @passthepotatoes x

Yes that’s true @mama, the main thing that has been consistent in my first pregnancy with DS, last month and this month is vivid dreams, vertually every night I’m dreaming. Just need to wait a few more days.

YES now that's one symptom I definitely had! Not got yet though really but I'm only 5/6dpo so who knows. Sounds good for you hunni xx

Chemical pregnancies are cruel and shitty. Maybe 1/4 periods of women ttc can be one apparently!!
Keeping them in perspective ime is the way to deal or you will have no mental strength to carry on.
If we didn't test early /before a fortnight late like years ago we wouldn't be putting ourselves through them.

@Notasperfectasallothermners I'm not going to be testing before the fortnight if I can help it. I'm also keeping away in general from 2ww threads I don't think it will be good for me.
