Hi, just as the title says really. Is there any hope? I had an early miscarriage last month at around 5weeks. This is from this afternoon and I am 9dpo, but it’s a squinter, although a little clearer in real life. It was done with quite weak urine. Does anyone have any thoughts or positive stories of similar?

Also, just to add, I had two early miscarriages at 5 weeks before having my dc, and with last month that makes 3, so not a great track record. Should the line be darker?

At 9dpo I was getting a bfn which changed to a bfp at 13dpo.
It is normal for it to be so faint at this stage so try to take it easy for w few days and see if it darkens!
Hope everything goes well for you xx

Hi! My bfp at 8dpo on a frer that looked like that! I did one every day after (Blush) until I'd used all my tests, and by the time I was 14dpo/AF due, my line was as dark the control line Smile I know the worry your going through though! My last pregnancy ended being a chemical (tests getting lighter etc) and had 3 losses in a row before that. You just have to take each day as it comes! I've added the pics of 8dpo / 14dpo to show you x

Thank you so much for your replies. Frer was a stark white negative for me yesterday at 10 dpo. I’m going to buy more today ready to test with fmu tomorrow, and fingers crossed it will be darker. I had quite a visible bfp at 9dpo with my dd and last month the line was quite decent at 10dpo. I’m hoping very much that it’s down to the urine being diluted.

That’s a really strong positive for 14dpo btw Fia. I don’t think mine was that strong when I tested with my successful pregnancy —Also a serial tester, no shame here—

Sorry, first message should read “stark white negative at 8dpo” not 10dpo.

It's so hard not to worry isn't it. I think this is half the problem with these early tests, if you catch the bfp from the very start, I think it only ends up causing more worry until it gets darker! 9dpo is still very early though, especially if not using fmu. Also all depends on when baby implanted too. Hope tomorrow's test goes well! I know when I'd got my bfp at 8dpo this time it felt like an eternity waiting for the next morning so I could do another!

These early days are horrendous but I’d definitely rather know, I’m too impatient to wait!

Yes me too! Hence cracking them open far too early Grin will keep my fingers crossed for you that it's darker in the morning!

I drove myself mad testing in early pregnancy. Was convinced my lines were too light for a successful pregnancy and I'd already had 3 losses. My husband banned me from testing as I was going bonkers. A reassurance scan at 8 weeks showed twins who I'm now cuddling on the sofa. I assume with twins my hormones should've been double but the lines didn't get as dark as I wanted. Basically, try not to overthink it just yet and good luck!

The line is slightly darker and more visible now that the test has dried, and I’ve bought some more first response for tomorrow morning.

I'm in the same boat here lineyes. Had an emc before so mega nervous about faint lines. Got three tests for tomorrow, a FRER, digi and just a CB dye test. I'm 12dpo today, was spotting for three days and then it stopped. Here is this mornings test, so so faint. Wishing you luck!

This is this morning’s line. It’s slightly darker than yesterday but still very faint. Not feeling very positive about it as I should be about 10dpo.

I'd say that's easily dark enough for 10dpo. Congratulations xxx

@Lineeye don't worry about the DPO, the main thing is it's darker than yesterday's which it is! My first and second day ones were the same sort of progression as yours, then after that they got darker and darker. Dpo doesn't really tell you anything about how dark a line should be as it's down to when implantation happened. Congratulations SmileThanks

Thanks everyone, I’m tentatively hopeful. Have a spare test which I will probably do tomorrow to check for line progression.

@Lineeye congratulations! I've just had a mc. Can I ask when did you start trying after the mc? I ron't want to wait 8 weeks or whatever they said!

Lineeye · 07/01/2018 12:02

I didn’t wait and so started trying again after I stopped bleeding from the last one.
