FRER not getting any darker

Tested Friday about 12dpo and there was a definite faint line - very similar to the pictures I’ve seen on here recently. Tested again this morning about 14dpo and the line hasn’t got any darker. Should I be worried?

I think you should give it a bit longer. I haven’t done it with frer but with those cheap strips and I had all faint lines from 12-15dpo and then a jump to much darker lines at 16dpo. So I wouldn’t read too much into it at this early stage.

Is there still a line at all? I don't think you should be worried, you're only just at the point of missing your af so still really early. Exciting and congrats on your bfp!

Did you take photos of the tests? Share if you think thats helpful?

Also remember that your hydration levels and concentration of urine is going to vary and that could affect results. Also I was reading through the clear blue digital test (with the weeks indicator) instructions yesterday and it mentioned that the hormone levels fluctuate as they rise so they don’t recommend testing too close together (if your expecting it to show the progression) I imagine it’s the same for all tests.

That happened to me and it was a chemical pregnancy. First response and extremely sensitive and should get darker every few hours, of course you would o my know this If you are as obsessed as me and took 3 tests a day. Try another later on and see what happens x

Thank you everyone - mixed answers there!! I was really expecting it to be darker so feeling disappointed. I will see how it goes over the next few days x

@nikki2ol6 sorry to hear about your chemical, out of interest how long was it before you realised it was a chemical?

So confused. So didn’t take another test and thought would just see what happens but had given up any hope.

Started bleeding yesterday and was prepared for a lot of blood but there isn’t much and still isn’t today. Usually my periods are super heavy - huge conking tampons changed every couple of hours kinda heavy - but this is light in comparison. But there is still a decent amount, more than normal spotting.

I am tempted to get another test just to make sure but don’t want to waste money unecessarily. Ahhhh!!!! Any help!?

If you've started bleeding, I'd say it's unlikely you are pregnant. Personally I'd buy some cheapo tests from Amazon so you are wasting the more expensive ones in future.

I'm really sorry to hear you have started bleeding :(
I had an early loss at 5 weeks and my tests didn't get darker and gradually got lighter then i started to bleed. My GP confirmed it was an early mc. Xx

Don’t panic yet. I’ve been pregnant 3 times and had red bleeding every time early on. It doesn’t mean it’s over. Also the test thing doesn’t mean anything either. It’s to do with hydration levels as someone else said.

Just assume you are not pregnant and give it a week, no tests. In a week you will know for sure, it really is pointless keep testing, you will drive yourself insane. I have tested really early and got a faint line in the past, before AF came on her due date. If I hadn’t tested early I wouldn’t have known any differently. I have also had heavy implantation bleeding with my DS so it really could go both ways for you but at the moment, it is just too early to tell. I hope things work out for you Flowers
