When does anyone recommend taking a frer? (Eg. 8/9/10 dpo? ) I know it says from 4 days before missed period but just wondered what other people’s experiences have been like with them..

I got a bfp on frer at 12dpo, the day before af was due! It ended in mc but the bfp was v clear after a couple of squinters on clear blue tests

I've just got one today at 10dpo. Faint but defo there (see my post on frer vs cb). I'm due AF on Sunday so just praying it's not a false positive x

Thanks girls for replying, 7dpo here but have had cramps for two days now, so wasn’t sure when to test. Could be af arriving early sad but fx it’s not!

Sorry if this is a silly question but when you talk about dpo for testing do you mean the number of days after an opk is positive or do you count ovulation as 24 hours after a positive opk?

I have some first response tests but not sure when tbe earliest I can do one is. I have a 26-29 day cycle, poaitive cheapie opk on CD14 evening and CD15 morning with my clearblue. How long after that could I test with first response?

I count ovulation as the day after you get your pos opk. Assuming you ovulated on cd 15/16
If your period comes on
Cd26-11 day luteal phase
Cd27-12 day luteal phase
Cd28-13 day luteal phase

I would test 2 days before expected period with frer. That’s what I might do :p I haven’t really used one before so can’t tell you much. They are expected to give results up to 6 days before, but I’d rather test closer to time to make sure it’s more accurate.

So Gem173 I had pos opk yesterday morning then neg today, would you say i will ov today?

Gem173 Fri 15-Dec-17 14:16:30

Yeah that’s when I put in that I ovulated. But if you do get pains put it as the day you get your ovulation pains

It's very individual. I didn't get a positive on anything until 14dpo and even then it was very very faint.
