Are you sure the seam of your pants hasn't just been rubbing? I really don't think you can get them that early and they're normally from your bellybutton down.

Its not from pants as been in loose pjs all evening 🤔 very confused by it!

Could it be a stretch mark?

I haven’t had one with either pregnancy but I too thought they went from higher up down. I think it would be unusual to see one before 12 weeks. Could it be a crease from how you’ve been sitting or something?

I'm sorry but I don't think there's any possible way that's a Linea nigra. The hormone that causes Linea nigra is made by the placenta, which isn't even made or functioning until about 10 weeks into pregnancy.

I believe you have a line on your lower stomach, but it can't be a pregnancy sign unless you are already at least 12 weeks along, which seems unlikely given negative tests.

It will probably fade by itself soon.

Are you sure you're only 12 dpo? Have you done a test recently?

I agree with QueenAravis you would have to be well into a pregnancy for a linear nigra to appear. Also, it would run from your belly button right the way down. It looks more like an indent mark.

Tested again and bfn so guess the line will disappear eventually and af will show up

You just wouldn’t be getting linea nigra at this stage. It’s only a feature of at least the second trimester of pregnancy. 12 weeks is considered early to have one, most women (if they get one) get it at around the 25 week mark. I totally understand that it may be a bit weird and something you’ve not had or noticed before, but I promise you it’s not a linea nigra. If it was, you’d have to be at least 12 weeks pregnant and if you were 12 weeks pregnant, you’d be getting positive tests. It could be a stretch mark, an indent from clothing or even the way you’ve been sitting/lying. I’m not sure what it is but I can tell you for absolute certain that it’s not a linea nigra. That doesn’t mean you’re not pregnant by any means, it just means that whatever the line is, it’s not pregnancy related. Maybe test again in a few days if your period doesn’t show up. Good luck!
