Hi everyone,

My DH and I have been TTC for a few years, having fertility tests and so far all looks good so we are still trying every month. My ovulation is now pretty regular and we Did the deed ever day for a week during my fertile phase.
Currently 7dpo and (as I do every month!!) analyse EVERY symptom.

Obviously it’s too soon to test but I’m wondering what your first symptoms were?
I’d rather hear from reliable sources instead of google!!

I get bad PMS (cramps and sore boobs after ovulation) which I have now, but it doesn’t usually start until about about 5 days before I’m due on and this time it’s started about 11 days before (see what I mean, clutching at straws here!)
Also, I have a really blocked nose - I don’t feel ill it’s just a bit blocked (although I’m a school teacher and am surrounded by germs all day so that could answer that!!)

I need help ladies!

It’s so hard isn’t it. I get sore boobs from
The moment of ovulation until period begins. Last month my boobs were so sore and I even had a tiny bit of white fluid come out of them both which I thought was a
Sure sign! But it wasn’t !!

It’s just a nightmare! My google search is just beyond ridiculous!

I actually have to laugh at myself sometimes!

Have you been trying for long?

With me its usually tingly boobs and a feeling of ‘just knowing’. I know thats not very helpful- its just a sense that something in my body has changed

HoneyCake did you have that as early as 7dpo or do symptoms take a little longer usually?

With DS1 my boobs killed. With DS2 I had instant sickness, morning sickness, unmistakable morning sickness.

7dpo is extremely early for any pregnancy symptoms. You won’t get “true” pregnancy symptoms until you’re at least 4-5 weeks. Anything else is hormonal. I’ve been pregnant twice and had no clue until I was about 5 weeks pregnant when my boobs started hurting so badly that I couldn’t wear a bra and I couldn’t move without the feeling of needing to throw up. Your symptoms do sound like normal PMS symptoms (and the start of a cold!) so I honestly wouldn’t overthink it. You’ll most likely have a positive test before you feel any real pregnancy symptoms. Trust me, after ttc for over a year, I’ve got used to my body doing things completely different most months. It’s very frustrating!

It sounds weird but for me the first thing both times was a metallic taste in my mouth. Heightened sense of smell came soon after but I get that with my period anyway. The metallic taste was totally new and not something I’ve had any other time. I’m not sure if there’s a scientific reason for it.

Constipation. Insane constipation. But symptoms vary from person to person, from month to month.

The only reliable 'symptom' is a pregnancy test. If you're pregnant enough for symptoms, you're pregnant enough for a positive test
