TCC on top?

Sorry if this has been asked before I assume it has but I can't see anything but is there a best position for TTC? We both prefer me being on top, always have but gravity makes things seemingly all fall out. Haven't started to TTC yet just wondering while sat waiting to finish work. Thanks

Yes I've also wondered that. It's a delicate gymnastics manoeuvre to get off then get the legs up for half an hour! 😂 good luck x

It doesn't matter in the slightest what position you do it in (and certainly doesn't contribute to whether you miscarry or not). Ejaculation fires sperm into your cervix at some speed and from there, they are in the environment they were designed for and swim. They don't need gravity "helping" them.

There's also no evidence for the legs-up thing - sperm are not going to "fall out" like that, but it's harmless.

Have sex you enjoy. Having regimented "TTC sex" will do nothing except ruin sex for you.

I never do legs up after dtd and we do all kinds of positions and I still got a bfp. So as PP says, a bfp isn't dependent on position.

There’s no connection between positions and conceiving. Also the legs up thing isn’t necessary. Ejaculation shoots sperm up to where they need to be within seconds, the stuff that comes out when you stand up is just semen. The only time it’s advised to have sex in certain positions or to put legs up/keep still for a while after dtd is if the male has sperm motility issues. You can do it anyway if you want to, although it does open you up to UTI’s
