4 days late but not tested as been here before

DH and I have been 'slightly trying' for a few months now . A couple of months ago I was about a week late but tested negative just before AF turned up. I'm now 4 days late again.
No real symptoms other than tender boobs, and had my usual teary/angry PMT symptoms that usually come like clockwork a few days before AF --sorry DH!- but just not followed by anything.
I'm just reluctant to test quite yet because of last time.
I'm not hugely anxious - I already have two beautiful DSs, but am sitting here now wishing I had just bought a damn test, now that DH has just left for the evening and I'm stuck in and can't get to the shops.

Agh that’s frustrating! Do you have an ovulation test? Apparently they can be used like pregnancy tests but I’ve never tried it.

It might be worth buying a load of internet cheapies. You can pee on sticks to your hearts content.

No, no ovulation test either. Been lucky with my first 2 as fell pregnant almost straight away so this is all weird to me. DS2 is nearly 6 though so maybe things have 'slowed down' somewhat! Will have to get some tests ordered. I'm out all day tomorrow, straight from work but I'll have to try to get to the shop at some time.
