This will be our first month TTC , potential ovulation is still nearly 2 weeks off and I already feel like I have been waiting forever, I torment myself daydreaming in my head, planning what I would do if and when it happened, thinking about breastfeeding, looking at pram reviews, you name it .How do you keep yourself distracted and sane?

I don't know how long it will take and I am driving myself crazy already, also any TTC buddies with similar cycles or just want to chat.

thanks ! xx

Hello! I’ve been ttc for 12 months now and all I can say is, you’re definitely going to need to find a way lol all you can do really is just remember that it’ll happen when it happens. If it doesn’t happen, just try again next month. You stressing yourself out and becoming obsessed won’t change the outcome of whether you’re pregnant or not. You will be a bit obsessed for the first few cycles but it’ll get really old really fast. Also you will absolutely get loads of weird new symptoms and things going on with your body that you’ve never had or never noticed before. It’s all totally normal. Don’t overthink them and assume that they’re because you’re pregnant because 99.99% of the time, it’s purely hormonal. Good luck!

I focus on all the other things, like baking. I have a maths exam to do at work, so stuck in revising for that. I treat myself to books, and bath bombs. Find Netflix series to get addicted to. It's small things.

This time of year it's hard I go into toys r us for other DC's and always wind up in the baby bit, nearly bought a cute grow the other week.

I found the first month to be the worst as everything is new and exciting so the waiting seems much worse. Also despite knowing that falling pregnant first try isn't that likely, I still kind of expected it to happen so it was harder when it didn't. Hopefully it will for you though! Time is going a lot quicker now it is cycle 4 and it is occupying my thoughts a lot less (although less is still most of the time!) good luck 🍀
