How early can you use a clear blue digital? AF is due Friday and it’s the only one I have in the house.

Also I think I’m getting my hopes up for no reason so it’ll be heartbreak city if it is BFN. I had cramps yesterday and on and off today but no af early. My last cycle was only 22 days and I’m on day 26 now so it could be anything.

Hey,

Fingers crossed it is a BFN for you.

If you can wait till tomorrow morning I would test then if I was you. (Disclaimer, i havent fact checked anything im about to say its just what im pretty sure i remember reading before) The hCG hormone shows best in the first wee of the morning. Also the hormone starts being produced as soon as the egg implants but most tests aren't sensitive enough to pick up any hormone until 3 days before missed period. I believe the clear blue ones claim they can pick up 5 days before. Remember though the closer you wait the better the accuracy of the test. 99.9% results are only on day of missed period.

Hope that helps xx

Wait until you’ve missed your AF. So try Saturday if no AF. Good luck. X

Wait for AF to bd late before testing, CB digital ones aren’t as sensitive as the early response ones so even if you are pregnant it’ll probably still be negative if you test early.

CB tests are not very sensitive and tend not to detect until 50mIU/ml hcg whereas FRER can detect 10-12.5mIU/ml

Clear blue arnt very sensitive so I would t waste it unless you have missed a period

So should I read this as “go and buy a FRER” and test in the morning... I honestly thought I had one last FR but it turned out to be a CBD. To be honest I’ve got a lot on between now and the end of Friday so if there’s no AF I will test Saturday morning. I have performance management observation on Friday so probably don’t want that on my mind either way.

Saturday it is! TO THE SHOPS!

If you have Amazon Prime Upsy, you can get 2 packs of 2 FRER from there for £15:49 and they could be delivered on Friday!!

@Rememberallball that would have been a genius idea if I had a) read it yesterday and b) didn’t share amazon account with DH.

I want to find out without DH knowing I’m finding out because then when I finally get the BFP I can plan a fun way of telling him. It’s been over two years and I want to make it special so seeing me buy a FRER will raise questions.

What a shame, Upsy, but fully understandable. My DH doesn’t know I’ve started testing every day with my fmu - he thinks I should wait until my bloods on Tuesday!!

I’m 13 DPO and got a positive on the digi today.

I got a BFP on Tuesday (11DPO) with first response but negative on the digi.

It’s worth a go

Good luck!!

It’s sneaky me doing this in secret but it’s not worth two hopes being dashed if it’s negative. Today is af day though and I’m still not started...

If it is good news though I’ll be back online looking for reveal ideas.

Hi
I took a FRER test and got this result and then took a clear blue digital and said “ not pregnant “ slightly confused if this is a positive or negative now. Can anyone tell me please.

I think I see the feintest line there. Pink. The thing to remember is that FRER are sensitive to from between 6.5mIU/ml and 10mIU/ml whereas CB digi tests are far less sensitive so won’t show as early as FRER

@rememberallball thank you for your reply. I will wait a couple days and try again.

Ok guys I did a test when I got in from shopping just now and it’s negative. So false alarm and just a late period.
