Hi,

Wondering about late ovulation and it's impact on conception. I have a 28 day cycle and had a positive OPK on CD 18. We BD'd on CD 11, 13, 15, 17, 18 and 19.

I was so sure we had got it this month but AF showed up yesterday.

Where am I going wrong here? Should we have BD'd past CD19? I am only using OPKs and monitoring my CM.

Thanks Smile

Doesn’t sound like you have gone wrong. Only about 20% chance each cycle. I’ve been at this game 20 months. It’s awful.

You might have an issue with short leutal phase. O-ing on CD19 ( you ovulate 12-36 hours after a positive OPK) would mean that there’s only 9 days between Ovulation and AF - ideal leautal phase is 12-14 days but anything more than 10 is okay. That may be something you could look into why you aren’t conceiving.

Thanks for your replies. I must look into short luteal phase then and see if there is anything I can do. I'll continue to use OPKS this month more consistently and hopefully last month was just a blip
