Ok, so I had my day 21 results today, just called the surgery and they gave me the results over the phone but it means nothing to me and they can't get me in to discuss with a Dr for ages!!!

Progesterone level - 32.5
U&E - Normal
GSR (i think thats what she said) - Normal
Blood Count - Normal

I assume normal for the bottom 3 is good but its the progesterone i'm bothered about...is that reading ok?

Also, what are the other tests for, i've googled those but not sure why they would have been taken? I had the bloods taken first thing in the morning, fasting.

Hi,

My understanding is that anything over 30 means that you’ve ovulated this month so that looks like a good result and suggests ovulation certainly happened. I can’t help on the other tests I’m afraid x

Your progesterone level shows you ovulated.

Brilliant, thanks guys. Ok, so all is well, I'm only on cycle 8 but it just feels like forever. I'm going to persevere with the "correct" temperature thermometer (doh) and hopefully it will work out better!

I’m guessing you’re over 36 as you’ve had bloods done so early in TTC, if that’s the case you can be referred to a fertility clinic for some more tests. Those results look good though.

My progesterone level was less that 2 which lead to scans and a PCOS diagnosis. So 32.5 i'd say sounds promising!!

I defo dont have PCOS as had suspected appendicitis a few weeks ago, turns out it wasn't and they did a scan on my ovaries, she said everything was perfect. My problem is I can't detect ovulation. Yes, I'm 36. X

Have you tried temping?? That’s the only sure fire way really. The clearblue OPK are good too.

This is the problem, ive tried all brands of opk's from cheap to expensive and never had a positive. Also have been taking temps but no clear rise or fall but only found out this month that I needed a thermometer thats 2 decimal places not 1 so the last few months have been totally wasted.

I'm treating next cycle (#9) as a clean slate. Got a proper bbt thermometer and going to test with opk's the day after finish AF so I can catch it. I've got Homebargains cheaper brand @ £2.99 for 5. Brought 2 packs to start with. Let's see what happens.
