My dearest friend 41 years old, lost a perfect healthy baby girl after 41 weeks of healthy pregnancy. The hospital admitted negligence after not finding room for her induction at 40 weeks then turning her away after waters broke then failing to report problems after 40 hours of labour - finally baby got infection and was delivered stillborn after emergency csection. It is a tragedy as she had a late miscarriage at 13weeks before this much wanted pregnancy. She will be 43 in November and really wants another child. She and her partner have been ttc for past year but are so anxious each time that pregnancy test comes back neg. I was wondering if anyone has any positive stories as she is so worried it is too late now. Thanks in advance for sharing.

Ohh, soo sad for your friend. Can't imagine the heartache.

I have two friends who have conceived at 45 and 46, both after previous miscarriages. It does happen.

How tragic! Has she seen a fertility specialist for assessment? Would she consider donor eggs if necessary?

Thank you very much for your supportive messages. It makes me so angry and sad in equal measure. Notquitegrownup2 thanks for sharing those positive stories. Will pass that on and keep hoping for her X
