Hi all, DS is now 11 months and I’d really like to start trying for number 2 soonish although he’s still bfing frequently and my periods haven’t returned yet. I’ve been using up old OPKs from when DS was conceived for the last week or so, just out of curiosity really and have usually had a pretty strong second line but today’s looks darker than control line.. is it possible that I’m about to ov for the first time? Could BFing be messing with them? Pic attached. Thank you!

I think I read on the NHS website that unless you breastfeed exclusively, several times a day, you can ovulate. Perhaps your periods are about to return?

Looks positive! Maybe you caught the first one! I got pg around when DD was 12 mths and feeding a lot.

I was TTC DC2 whilst still breast feeding DS1.

He probably fed 3-4 times in a 24 hour period and I was still having regular periods and positive OPKs each month.

Even though I was EBF'ing DS1 round the clock my periods still returned after 4 months of him being born.

@CatSneeze sorry to say that OPKs can be affected by breastfeeding, giving incorrect results. Hope that is not the case for you Flowers
