Don't know why I bother with bloody apps

Right. I've always been under the impression that I ovulate around day 15 (my cycles are always 28 days long) but, according to Flo, I ovulated on day 10 this month. I use FF as well and that does not believe ov has happened yet. My chart is attached.

Using clues from my body (which obviously are more reliable!), I had cramps yesterday and today (cd13) and my cervix is high soft and open today. So I agree with FF, I think!

Anyone else left more confused by apps than not??

Fertility Friend is the best, all other tracking apps are shit. Especially Ovia.

I love that review 😂 I may delete Flo

They are all rubbish because they only go by dates and you don't always ovulate at the same time every month
As soon as I stopped using the apps and used ovulation sticks I got pregnant the first month of trying
You can get cheapy ones on eBay! Or clear blue worked well for me!

I'm using the Clearblue ones, been doing them everyday at around 6pm but all negative so far. I'm aware I could have missed the surge though.

OPKs and temping are two ways to pinpoint ovulation. If you're only temping you won't find out until later that you've ovulated. OPKs tell you in advance but can be tricky to use.

I can see why Flo has put a tentative marker on the 16th but I think I'd wait for a higher rise to confirm.

One of the things that’s confusing I guess is to use more than one app. I only use one (kindara) and it calculates your fertile days according to your previous cycles. Mine have been soooo irregular but (only 4th cycle off HBC) and it’s predicted it quite well this month. Couple of days out, but as I’ve been using OPKs and don’t solely rely on the app to tell me when I’m fertile, I’m happy.

I quite like tracking temp and CM because it's good to look back sort of pinpoint when ov happened. However, these apps have me doubting the signs my body is giving me and it's annoying. I think I will delete Flo, although I do the way it is visually. First world problems, eh?

I used FF and glow in September. Both would suggest that i didn't ovulate. I sit here 6 weeks pregnant begging to disagree! Despite that I still really rate glow. FF not so much.

Your temp hasn't risen enough for ovulation to have occurred IMO!

@juneybean, I agree! I beliebe it's approaching though

@thecolonelbumminganugget That's hilarious. Did you track temp?

Yup, every morning, same time just after waking up before getting out of bed, thermometer in the more 'accurate' end. No temp rise after ovulation (I did get a positive opk).

I think at best an app can tell you what you would typically expect to see, what you actually get might not be typical.

I used Flo and conceived first time.
Tracked my cycle for a while and was very effective x

I tracked my so cycles on Flo before we started ttc this month and it seemed okay until this week, when it's definitely got my ovulation prediction wrong. Fertility Friend isn't much better but if I combine the powers of both of them, I can make an educated guess 😂 My approach is to just have sex every day this week, so I know I've covered it.
