AF due 9 days ago (last Thursday), had four very very faint tests between Thursday and Monday. Left a few more days, tested again today and this.
Seeing things that maybe don't exist as DP won't believe untill it's a solid blue line, he also thinks as it's been 9 days the line should be getting more obvious.... think I've squinted at too many?

Taken apart due to aforementioned squinting. Read at the correct time and picture taken at correct time.
Thoughts?

From what I know about hpt’s, more often than not once you take them apart there will always be a second line of some kind due to evap which is why they are considered invalid once you take them apart. If you were pregnant I would assume you would have a much more obvious line and wouldn’t need to open up the test in order to see it. Personally I would call that a negative. You might be better getting a digital? If you’re pregnant and 9 days past missed af then it should show up as positive without question. Good luck :)

It looked the same before (I didn't take a picture!) so opened it as felt my eyes were deceiving me!
I really don't know what to think, I'm going to pick up another this afternoon and try again!
Thank you! (This is why I need other opinions!!!)

It’s so frustrating isn’t it? It does seem very faint for so many days after missed af but it’s always best to do another hpt to make sure either way!

I've spent far too many months hoping for it, so any slight change I get my hopes up!
Will keep testing / waiting for AF!

I'm clearly going to be saying this until the day I die, but DON'T CRACK OPEN TESTS. It invalidates them and you mistake the indent line for a positive.

Here that looks like it might be the indent line I'm afraid. Get a FRER; if this is a positive it will be clear on FRER.

Tiramisu - don't worry I won't be doing it again! Ha!
I spent a while reading through other 'faint line' posts - many people say 'I would be cracking it open for a better look' ... so I listened to the internet and I did it!
I'm going to pick up a FRER this afternoon!

People do do it, but it will generally say in the instructions of a test that to do so invalidates the result. If you're looking at a test in natural light, you WILL be able to see a true positive, I promise. And I've seen too many people crack them open and get excited at what is unfortunately just the line where the dye WOULD settle if it's a positive.

Good luck.

As you say keep testing, looks good though.

This is my fifth that have looked like this, but this is the first I have opened.
I would expect the line to be getting darker over the days?! - but it definitely doesn't look like the months and months of negatives I've had previously?
I also wonder if I'm just reading more into something because I am SO late for AF. (Normal 30 or 31 day cycle untill now!)
Damn baby making and stick squinting!
