Early Pregnancy tests - any luck before 6 days before AF due

Hey all apologies i've been lurking here for a while and not actually posted anything, and also apologies if this has been covered before, I couldn't find another post.

We are in our third cycle of TTC following a MMC at 9 weeks (gave 'birth' at 12) :/ I've invested in some of the First Response early pregnancy tests because I dont want to drink when pregnant and we are off to a wedding tonight. The box indicates they can be used successfully 6 days prior to a period being due, but my AF is currently 7 days away! Based on experience should I use one of the tests tonight to see if it works, or wait until tomorrow so I dont waste it?

How sucessful are these early tests prior to 6 days??

Thanks in advance xx

I wrote a long message and crap it disappeared.
The gist of it was that it depends on your luteal phase. If you have a shortish one like mine at 11 days, it won't work but say if you have a long luteal phase of 17 days it might work as you will be testing at 10 dpo.

Sorry about your mmc. I have been there and it's shit.
enjoy the wedding.

They can be used 6 days prior to your MISSED period, so 5 days before you are due ie 8dpo. Don't bother testing before then. No test will give you a positive earlier than 8dpo, because you can't get a positive until after a successful implantation - which might not even happen until day 10 or so.

Ahh @Minutesalive I hate it when that happens!!! Thank-you my cycles are pretty short (24 days) so i'll leave it tonight and save my money. Thanks so much for the advice ladies. Knew I could count on you xxx

Ha! I have a short cycle as well of 26 days and have only got a bfp the earliest at 10 dpo. If I use the early pregnancy test, I will be testing at 6 dpo as I have an 11 days luteal phase and it will be impossible to get a bfp then. Good luck xx
