Private healthcare vs NHS what is the situ?

Hi all,

Not sure of the answer to this, or even if there is one?

We were referred via gp over 10 weeks ago originally but the hospital never received the referral. 6 weeks ago or so we were re-referred but told the waiting list is over 13 weeks which is rather infuriating.

My partner has 0% morphology on his first SA - difficult but not impossible to get pregnant naturally so I've read... and so far my bloods have been normal although I bleed throughout the 2ww 50% of the time suggesting I may also have an issue. 😏

I'm now waiting on my scans etc and we have just realised our private healthcare covers this.

My question is are we jeopardising our potential NHS 2 goes at ivf/icsi if we go private for our investigations? Or will I just need to do every test twice?

Has anyone been down this road before?

I appreciate I'm super lucky to even have this option.

Thanks for reading ☺️
