Hi I have a week to wait but I am itching to find out whether my symptoms are just pms. How reliable are these tests as they are a bit pricey? Thanks xx

At a week out - absolutely don't waste your money. If you look online you'll find their accuracy rates - my memory is that they're only something like 70% accurate even three days before your period. For what it's worth I've got a very definite line on a First Response at 11dpo (three days before period) all three times I've been pregnant, but I don't think you'll find any test that's going to tell you at 7dpo.

(I also don't believe that you can have pregnancy symptoms at 7dpo, but you will find women who swear blind they did)

Thank you. I'm just being impatient! I will save my money. Ive seen some on eBay for a couple of quid so I have ordered these and will wait till Saturday to test.

I think we all get impatient! Have you been trying long? I found that the cheap ones do bring up a line as early as the expensive early testing ones but that the line is really, really faint - when I had clear lines on the First Response the cheapies had lines that were like shadows.

Not long I only came off depo in January. I am 38 nearly so going to see what happens until the end of the year. I'd love another one but we will just have to keep our fingers crossed and see what happens. I've only had my periods back for three months so it's early days Grin
