Anyone testing next weekend!?

BabiesOnTheBrain1 · 17/07/2017 00:01

I'm nervous/excited Grin

AF due anywhere between Tuesday and Friday.. All being well and she doesn't show, I'll probably test next Saturday or Sunday.

Anyone else counting down the next week?

Yep, on day 36 of a predicted 42 day cycle (another story altogether). If no af next Monday I'm testing.... however tempted to test this Friday before we go away for an emotionally and normally alcohol fuelled weekend with the family.

Good luck op

happybus28 · 17/07/2017 08:53

Me!!! AF not actually due until Monday but I'm gonna test either Sat or Sun which will be 12 and 13dpo.

BabiesOnTheBrain1 · 17/07/2017 10:24

Thank you both for the replies! Nice to know I'm not alone Smile
This is my first month off the pill, am basing my cycles on what they were previously as I don't really have any other option! So a 28-31 day cycle was normal for me. Was tempted to buy a test last night for this morning but I talked myself out of it.
If no sign of AF on Friday I'll buy a test I think Grin
Have any of you been symptom spotting!?

happybus28 · 17/07/2017 11:00

I'd been doing quite well not symptom spotting until yesterday and today when ive had a little bit of pink spotting...trying my hardest not to get my hopes up that's it's implantation but I'm not doing very well! I've had a few mild cramps too but other than that I feel no different. My boobs are sore but they always are after ovulation so not convinced that's a symptom. How about you?

BabiesOnTheBrain1 · 17/07/2017 12:21

Ah fingers crossed for you that it's implantation Smile
Haven't had too many signs, I think the only one I have is nausea which seems to wash over me a few times a day. Other than that it's just mild cramping which I'm hoping is not my period arriving 🤞🏻

OP posts:
happybus28 · 17/07/2017 12:49

I've heard a lot of people say early pregnancy symptoms are very similar to AF so fingers crossed! That's what my cramping feels like too just like very mild AF pain. I am only 7dpo though so really hoping it isn't AF. Struggling to take my mind off it all today!! Been TTC so long and this is the most positive I've ever felt but keep trying to not get my hopes up!

BabiesOnTheBrain1 · 17/07/2017 12:56

Do you mind me asking how long?
This is only my first cycle and I was always convinced I'd be so relaxed about it, but it's very difficult not to get sucked into checking dates and thinking everything is a symptom!
I don't want to be squinting at tests either, so I'm determined to wait until next weekend at the earliest Smile

OP posts:
happybus28 · 17/07/2017 13:59

I don't mind at all. It's approaching 18 months since I first came off the pill. I have had very long irregular cycles since coming off the pill so I am on my first cycle of clomid this month. I ovulated on CD14 for the first time ever this month so I'm chuffed with that. I've had scans, blood tests etc and they can't find anything wrong, for whatever reason I just don't ovulate naturally every month.

It is very hard not to get sucked into it all, I was the same when I first came off too. Hopefully it won't take you as long as me Smile

BabiesOnTheBrain1 · 17/07/2017 16:15

Oh wow, you must be over the moon that you ovulated when you did! That's fantastic Smile I will keep my fingers crossed that this is your month, hopefully this week will go quick for us both. Would this be your first?

shortcake76 · 17/07/2017 17:37

I will be too. Not quite sure what is going on. Cycles are unpredictable, but usually between 35-45 days. Currently on day 41.

Have had some cramping and thought it was AF coming. Went to the loo this morning and thought period was starting, but brown colouring (sorry tmi). Put a tampon in thinking period was starting this morning. Later noticed nothing on tampon, but have also been having pinky / red discharge. Boobs were also really heavy from about 2 weeks ago and I also broke out in lots of spots...

Wondering if above is implantation or not....

happybus28 · 17/07/2017 18:18

Yes it will be our first Smile is it your first?

Hi shortcake sounds a bit similar to what I'm experiencing but mine it more pink than brown. Do you usually spot before AF? I usually do a couple of days before but this is too early and seems different to the usual pre af spotting I get. Might just be wishful thinking though. I sympathise with you on the long cycles, it's hard work isn't it. Have they always been like that or is it the result
of the pill like me?

shortcake76 · 17/07/2017 19:05

Hi Happybus28,

No, I never usually spot before AF so this all a bit strange. I am getting cramping, but not sure if that's good or bad. I've Googled the subject to death and have half convinced myself that I am, but who knows!! I have bought a CB test to use on Saturday. Hubby working away at the moment. I've always had long cycles. My mum didn't have the menopause until she was 63 and was having periods up until then so have also convinced myself I must have a good supply - her sister was also about the same age - but it's quality not quantity!

Not quite sure how I feel - we are actively ttc - but I am also scared too, if that makes sense. If we are, it would be our first.

happybus28 · 17/07/2017 19:44

I keep googling too...trying not too and have to keep stopping myself! I have a few cheapy internet ones, a FRER and a CB digi but gonna try and hold off using the good ones until AF is late or if I get a result on a cheap one.

I think I'll be petrified once it actually happens, as it's taking so long all I can focus on right now is actually getting pregnant. Won't have a clue how to deal with it once i actually am!! Think it's quite normal to feel like that though, it's a huge life changing thing!

shortcake76 · 17/07/2017 20:04

I could have written your last paragraph as that is EXACTLY how I feel too!

I think I must have read every website going about implantation bleeding! I do want a baby, but the thought of being pregnant, getting fat and then the trauma of childbirth is what freaks me out a bit!

Are you getting quite a few cramps?!

happybus28 · 17/07/2017 20:20

It's so good to talk to people going through the same! Yes I've had mild AF pains on and off yesterday and today, not really bad just been aware of it on and off throughout the day. Not really sure what to make of it really as it's coincideded with the spotting that I've had.

BabiesOnTheBrain1 · 17/07/2017 20:28

So happy there's a few of us here!

Yes it will be my first, although I do have a DSD who I adore Smile would love to give her a sibling.

Having quite a few cramps tonight, really hoping AF doesn't appear tonight or tomorrow!

I am the same in that I'd be so excited, but terrified! My fiancé will be thrilled though!

OP posts:
BabiesOnTheBrain1 · 18/07/2017 07:24

Well no sign of AF this morning! Hopefully work will be busy enough to keep me distracted Grin

OP posts:
happybus28 · 18/07/2017 07:42

That's good news!! How you feeling?

I'm not feeling quite so positive this morning, woke up to a load more spotting. Sorry if this is tmi but it was thicker, brown and more like pre AF whereas as yday was more like pink tinged CM so I'm not feeling like that's a good sign. Still only 8dpo though so will see what happens.

BabiesOnTheBrain1 · 18/07/2017 10:16

Hmm I'm not sure. Not overly positive I don't think! Would be a massive shock if it happens so quickly, despite it being planned I think it would take me a few days at least to get my head round it. Haven't had any cramps yet this morning so we'll see. Can't decide if it's better to wait for AF now, or just do a test? At least if it's negative I know to expect her, I don't like feeling in limbo.

Ah I'm sorry to hear that, fingers crossed it is just more implantation bleeding though! You'll only be 9dpo are you? Still a little while until AF would be due, so don't lose hope yet Smile

OP posts:
happybus28 · 18/07/2017 11:26

I know the feeling of being in limbo! When is AF due for you? If it's not too early then maybe test in the morning!

I am 8dpo today so yes it would be very early for AF. Having a few cramps on and off this morning but not as noticeable as yesterday. Wish this week would hurry up I am getting impatient now!!

BabiesOnTheBrain1 · 18/07/2017 11:51

My cycle is between 28 and 31 days, so any time between now and Friday! Im at a family party on Saturday night so would like to know one way or the other before then. I'm very tempted to do a test, I'd be disappointed if it was negative but at least I'd know to just wait for my period to show up, whereas I can't stop thinking about it this morning Blush

Hopefully it will ease off for you today so you don't spend the rest of the week wondering! Will you be able to hold out until Saturday?

OP posts:
happybus28 · 18/07/2017 12:38

I'd be testing in the morning if I were you! Even if AF due Friday that's only 2 days early.

I'm hopeful I can stick it out until the weekend. AF not actually due until Monday so don't really wanna test any earlier than 2 days early. Exciting that you might test tomorrow!!! Have you got any tests or do you need to go and get one?

Only a few more days you'll need to be patient for! Have you tested much earlier than that in the past or always been able to wait!?

Haha that's scary! No I don't have any tests in the house. I pass a Boots twice a day so I always know it's easy enough for me to grab a FRER Smile

OP posts:
happybus28 · 18/07/2017 14:49

I usually cave at 11-12dpo. Depends how im feeling really. Spotting practically gone now, not had much since about 10am and I'm getting twinges and feeling a bit crampy. Have headache too but I'm not sure if that's not down to the lack of caffeine as I'm trying to cut back.

Have you decided whether to test in the morning?

BabiesOnTheBrain1 · 18/07/2017 15:06

Ah that's good :) twinges could be a good sign too! So what happens with the clomid, do you take it throughout your cycle? Or just until you know you've ovulated? Please excuse my ignorance Smile Hopefully now you're taking that you won't be waiting too much longer for a BFP!

No I haven't decided yet.. I'm popping to the supermarket after work so might pick up a test and will mention it to my OH when I get home I think. We said we were going to find out together so will see what he says too. We'd agreed to wait until the weekend but not sure if I can now Grin
