Stopping Cerazette

Hi. Partner and I have decided the time is right for me to come off birth control and let nature take its course in the hope of a pregnancy.

I've been on cerazette for years, had no periods at all in that time and to be honest I haven't missed them at all. However my periods have always been very very irregular although this may also have been due to the anxiety I suffered for years before diagnosis and medication.

Am I likely to get any kind of side effects from stopping this? I just want to be prepared and if I'm honest I'm bloody nervous!

I had headaches and dizziness for 2 months after stopping.

I had no issues stopping, had been on it years. Got pregnant 2 months after stopping, straight 28 day cycle.

Others have bigger issues with it though.

Thanks both. Knowing my luck I'll have all the bad side effects Hmm

Day two without so far

I came off it after about 6 years to get pregnant and thankfully had no problems. Periods returned after about 2 months, a little irregular than usual but not far out if that makes sense! I fell pregnant with my son 5 months after coming off the pill. He's now nearly 7 months old!
Hopefully it'll go smoothly for you, without any side effects! But everyone is different. Fingers crossed for you!

I came off it in may. Had fairly intense pregnancy symptoms in first few weeks till I got my withdrawal bleed. Still haven't had a proper period but thankfully don't have the severe nausea or painful boobs anymore. Hoping AF arrives and I go back to a normal cycle soon!

Dizzy until my first period, then dizzy throughout. When it stopped I had a bunch of pregnancy symptoms, and now a week post-period I'm crazy horny. The pill is mental.

So... so far so good. Only thing I've found odd is that I couldn't face wine the other night. Not like me at all. It had been a almost a week and it had been a couple of rough days at work and had wine but just couldn't face it at all and ended up pouring the rest of the glass down the sink
