Giving blood while ttc

Hi I have been donating blood every four months or so but not so much before the last two times iyswim. Anyway I read that giving blood can affect your fertility as it can make you low in iron. I had stopped a couple of years ago for a few months as I was low on iron so I'm wondering if I should stop altogether. For background I have one dd conceived after I had been travelling and not given blood for a while but I also have endometriosis affecting my ovaries in the form of cysts.

I have been a regular donor for years, I have been taking a break since we started TTC as one of the questions they now ask you is if there is any change you are pregnant. It won't make you anaemic as they test to make sure you have enough iron not to be low after they have taken the donation. For me I am having the break as there is the what if in my head if I was too early to know I was pg and donated and then the outcome wasn't good I wouldn't know if it had affected it.

Chance even. To expand it won't make you anaemic but your iron would drop a bit obviously before recovering. The 4 months in between is to try and prevent it affecting your iron levels too much.

I have blood regularly too. I spoke to the donor people who recommended taking a break whilst ttc. I have blood last year then got pregnant the month later and miscarried. Probably not related but I stopped for a bit

No, I tried to give blood whilst awaiting ivf treatment and was turned away!
