Hey,

Anyone else out there?

DS is 4 and a half months nearly and we were a little careless this month. Dtd is still tender so it's only been the once but it was about two days before ovulation.

We'll be over the moon if I am pregnant but it feels weird to think of juggling another. 10 days to go until AF is due!

I had 15 months between ds2 and dd1.Best age gap I had .
Both napped at the same time, activities and groups worked for both of them and toddler is still at the stage where they like to do 'jobs' for you.
Congrats if you are.I went on to have another 18 months later and wouldn't have done anything differently.

DoubleCarrick · 19/05/2017 05:00

Thankyou. I'm excited but nervous - ds has hit the four month sleep regression so it's a crazy time to be trying! There would be 13 months between them

My DC2 is 10 months and I'm 7 weeks pregnant there will be 17 months between them it's a little nerve racking but I'm sure it will be fine I've got a 3 yr old to contend with also. Good luck x

beekeeper17 · 19/05/2017 10:01

I'm going to have a 13 month age gap, just had my 12 week scan a couple of weeks ago and can't really believe we're doing this all again so soon. People aren't sure whether or not to believe me when I tell them I'm pregnant again! Good luck!

DoubleCarrick · 19/05/2017 15:00

Congratulations to you both Smile I'm very hopeful! We're thinking of the third when ds is 4 and the second is 3

I have 13 months (and 1 day!) between mine (girl then boy). Bloody hard going at times, but as they get older it does get easier (they're almost-4 and almost-3 now).

They're too cute when they're saying they love each other. And nightmares when they're fighting! 😂

I'm all for close age gaps!

purpleviolet1 · 19/05/2017 17:51

Hi carrick! Recognise you from the staying positive following mc thread .. nice to see you are doing well and potentially another on the way!!! Keep us posted. LO is 9 weeks and has quite severe silent reflux so things are really difficult at the moment. Just trying to get through each day

beekeeper17 · 20/05/2017 09:18

Let us know what happens @DoubleCarrick I'm secretly hoping you do get a BFP so I'll have someone else going through the same thing as me!

DoubleCarrick · 20/05/2017 14:33

@purpleviolet1 I feel your pain! We've had continuous problems with reflux and silent reflux but thankfully things are starting to settle now he's on formula free of cows milk.

@beekeeper17 I really hope so too! It'd be nice to have a friend for the journey! I've had so many stomach cramps this month it's unbelievable! And last night had a sip of wine and promptly spat it out! My taste changes so quickly when I'm pregnant so I'm hoping it's a good sign and not just my imagination. AF due in 8 days!!

beekeeper17 · 20/05/2017 20:26

Ooh when are you going to test @DoubleCarrick?

DoubleCarrick · 21/05/2017 01:17

Not sure really, tbh. I'm going to try to hold out till af is due. Might test after the bank holiday. Maternity leave takes away the money to buy millions of tests EnvyGrin it's going to be a long wait!

With my first two pregnancies I had quite sharp implantation pain. That should be over the next day or so

So tentatively I have a v v light squinter of a bfp!

beekeeper17 · 23/05/2017 20:15

Oh no way! Exciting! Can you post a pic?

DoubleCarrick · 23/05/2017 21:42

It's almost too much of a squinter!

It wasn't fmu either and af isn't due till fri but there is a shadow of a line.

Might do one with fmu tomorrow!

I think I can see something too! Good luck with the next test!

Oddsocksforeveryone · 24/05/2017 06:59

My DD (DC3) is 10 months and I'm 17 weeks pregnant. I'm so so grateful for nap times!
Good luck with next test.
Congratulations and good luck to all of us with small age gaps!

DoubleCarrick · 24/05/2017 07:08

Another squinter but definitely there!! Feeling excited and nervous now!

Pregnancy with a baby is certainly going to be interesting!

beekeeper17 · 24/05/2017 16:12

Wow, sounds positive! You're doing much better than me at that stage, I just kept thinking what on earth have we done!!

DoubleCarrick · 24/05/2017 16:15

I'm mostly worried about what labour is going to do to my bits Confused I've only just recovered from this labour really

NoWordForFluffy · 24/05/2017 19:20

Pregnancy with a baby is better than with a toddler as they still don't move about too much, and aren't too heavy to pick up etc!

It'll be great!

AprilShowers16 · 24/05/2017 19:29

Congratulations! I have a 10 month old and recently found out I'm pregnant again. No idea how pregnant though! Assuming when I finally manage to get a midwife appointment they will send me for a scan to find out?

@double I'm worried about birth too as all mine were sections so not sure how healed up I'll be from the last one.
@noword my dd was 10kg a month or so ago, 10 months and she weighs more than half what her 7yo brother does!
@April maternity services where I am are a bit stretched but I had no clue how far I was, first scan I could get was when I was estimated 14 weeks, I turned out to be 11. I found the not knowing drove me bonkers, it was a long month waiting for the scan. I hope they can get you in faster

DoubleCarrick · 26/05/2017 04:10

Dh said to me yesterday "you won't just be able to stop this time and do nothing, you know, even if you do feel really poorly" Grin it's just occurred to us both how poorly I was with my first pregnancy!! Oh dear! Every time I stood up i was dizzy and wanted to puke (for about 30 weeks)

My little monster is currently snoozing next to me after his second wake up of the night. He had his jabs yesterday so is a bit off kilter. We've had fussing and whingeing for most of the day, poor munch. Hoping today is going to be better as I've left dh at home and am at mums till Tues. Could do with him being his usual cheery self

DoubleCarrick · 26/05/2017 04:12

@aprilshowers16 must be a weird feeling not knowing how pregnant. We only dtd twice since baby was born so can pinpoint pretty accurately! Blush
