So. FINALLY having a proper period! Nine months after coming off that blasted depo. YAY! So pleased to be past the odd stringy bits of thing red (sorry for detail)

Already suffering and recounting the trials and tribulations of periods in my youth. Gas, bloating, agony, feeling like I'm pissing myself every 5 minutes.

Case in point: Just back from Boots, needed sanitary towels. Got the loo, in my male dominated office, and realised I've bought incontinence pads instead which are completely different, about an inch thick and have no wings. I've walking around, back to the walls, squeezing my thighs together to minimise the rustling. Discreet my arse. Didn't even occur to me the packaging might have been redesigned in the last 15 years. Sigh.

Anyone else just starting properly on this whole conception thing?

I feel your pain! Took me four months to have a proper period after stopping the pill! 9 months is a very long time with none! Well done for coping! I struggled with only four months of nothing. Did you go to the drs at all?

Just been to the drs for my non existent periods after the last 6 months.

Got a blood test booked with the nurse on monday morning. She will discuss the results with me a week later. She said it takes 18 months for yr periods to go full back to normal.

Same here! I can finally track ovulation correctly. I honestly think the depo was the worst decision I have made. It caused so many problems. I came off the depo 6 months ago, DH & I decided that although AF hadn't appeared we would TTC anyway. But deep down I felt like it wouldn't work without a regular cycle of AF.

Did you find out if you can conceive without AF showing? This month it hasnt shown 21 days late so we arent bothering to try.
