Following with interest. Came off the pill in march and think I have my cycles back but OPKs are just not coming up positive. Does temperature checking work?

Charting my temp definitely worked for me. When I came off of the pill, I had one AF and then my next one didn't arrive when expected. I took loads of HPTs and they were all BFN. I started charting my temp using Fertility Friend and found that I ovulated 4 weeks late on CD43. I wish I had started as soon as I came off of the pill as it would have saved me a lot of money on HPTs 🙈

Ovulation tests only tell you when your surge of hormones is not when you're ovulating. They can be helpful to get a rough idea when your surge happens in your cycle- do it for 2 months then don't bother. I did it loads when first ttc and got too focused on it. If your cycles are a similar length work out what midway is and you'll have a fairly clear idea of when ovulation happens. Look into the changes to discharge (I think it goes thinner when ovulating). My best advice would be have more sex and relax! We tried for 18months before we conceived. The month we stopped analysing everything was the month it happened- couldn't even tell the midwife when my last period was in that month!

If you want an easy to follow ovulation kit, clear blue are it (ones with the smiley face). They're more expensive though but I find them far easier to use than the cheaper ones.
In the early days for me when I had no idea about my cycle or ovulation I would waste so many, but now I'm much better as I've learnt the signs to look out for i.e increased cm and any sign of ache or pain in the ovary region. If you start to note any changes in your body, within a couple of months you can start to predict. Ovia app can help. x

Thank you so much of the responses. I would definetly start doing my temp now and would buy the smiley kits as well.
I am having alien in my right ovary since last 3 months only , that is a very sharp pain .. Today I had a scan and some other internal tests but gynaecologist said there is no ovarian cyst ...it can not be Ovolution time as the pain is all the time ..lets c what other tests she wants to do but for now I want to concentrate on my next Ovolution..fingers crossed !!
