Orgasam soon after penetration

Sex with DH is amazing and used to go on for a comfortable amount of time before he orgasms but over the last couple of months things have changed. He had an operation in February and during his recovery we didn't have sex as the op knocked his confidence and just wasn't in the mood, which I totally understand. We started getting back in the swing of things last month and DTD about twice a week but now, instead of it lasting he cums quite soon after penetration and doesn't have as much "thrust" that he used to have. He always says sorry for being quick, and aside from the fact that it's not very satisfying, we're also TTC so I'm worried without the thrust things are going up where they should go!
Does anyone have any advice? Do you think after a few more "dances" things will go back to normal? Does the thrust effect conception success?

I wouldn't say that his premature ejaculation would affect chances when ttc, but just let him know to try and be deep when ejaculating, and try and orgasm too yourself as when you do the uterus contracts and dips, increasing the chances for semen to reach the cervix. When ttc, after sex, I put a couple of pillows under my hips and stayed like that for half an hour or so, just so nothing spilled out. Sorry TMI 😂🙈

Finallyhere I didn't mean "try to make yourself orgasm" I meant try to make sure you also orgasm. This isn't exactly new scientific information for women ttc lol

Orgasm isn't necessary to get pregnant. Neither is faffing round with a pillow under your hips / legs in the air etc. Sex is what's needed to get pregnant!

I didn't say it was NECESSARY, but physiologically it causes the uterus to dip and contract (into the pool of semen), narrowing the gap between semen and cervix. Why would anyone even argue with this? Surely you want sex to be enjoyable for women too?! 😕

And actually after ttc for 3 years and finally resorting to legs in the air (admittedly not the most romantic pose) after sex, that's what worked for me. Count yourself lucky if you conceive easily after a quick (orgasmless) round of how's ya father!

Mumsnetters will argue over anything Pirate. Orgasm? How dare you say she should orgasm Wink

I agree that female orgasm is meant to help 'suck up' the semen. I would suggest that if your DH is finishing too quickly for you, then you suggest he brings you to orgasm straight afterwards (if possible) - it will help make it more enjoyable for you and might help take the pressure off him?

Nobody is saying it shouldn't be enjoyed...talk about extrapolating about something that isn't written / meant.

But, to tell somebody it gives them a better chance of success can actually put more pressure on people when they're possibly already getting stressed about TTC.

Just have your normal sex, every other day from CD8 (Sperm Meets Egg Plan), then on OV day, the day after and the second day after that. You should get pregnant within normal timescales doing that, orgasm or not.

You haven't told him you're measuring his thrust have you? That wouldn't help his confidence.

When a thread doesn't go quite how you envisaged - eh op? Grin

It's just a fact that it decreases distance between semen and cervix. Hardly puts extra strain on a relationship to try and have an orgasm (God forbid)! 😕
