Conceiving after Evra Transdermal Patch

Hi all,

DH and I are planning to begin trying to conceive soon. We've been together 8 years and in that time I've always been on some sort of contraception - first microgynon, moved to cilest, and now been on the evra patch for the past couple of years. None of my friends have used this method so don't seem to have any answers so thought I'd ask here. I'm on my weeks break at the moment but we don't know if it's best if I stop using it but use other methods of protection (large, important event in a few months that we do not want to be pregnant for, hence waiting until after to try and needing to use protection until then) or whether I should continue using it up until we're ready to try. My worry is how long it may impact us trying after I stop using it if that makes sense?

Any advice would be gratefully received :)
