I had light brown spotting last night and thought it may have been ovulation as i was 11dpo but nope. AF arrived early this morning! Hopefully May will be my the lucky month!

HansSolo22 Tue 25-Apr-17 10:59:58

Fingers crossed for you for May! My AF is due 6th May so I am only at the start of the dreaded 2ww but I'm really hoping May is my month too! Best of luck smile

Can i join? I'm just starting my tww too - also due AF 6th May! Symptom spotting at every turn grin

youngmummy3105 Tue 25-Apr-17 12:00:14

I think I will start buying OPKs this month. I haven't used them but I think I might start to now. Has anyone used them? Do they work?
Best of luck to the both of you!!x

Hi Scruff glad to have another 2ww buddy! I am the same but trying not too as I keep getting my hopes up, it's impossible not to though!

youngmummy I have been using the clear blue digital sticks. I know they are expensive but it's a simple smiley face rather than trying to read lines (I haven't tried them but I think I'd drive myself mad trying to interpret them!)

scruffmacduff Tue 25-Apr-17 12:10:51

I don't use them - we just try to dtd every 2 days and when I think I'm about to ov we try to dtd every day. Although we decided to start trying a bit late this month so we'll have to see what happens there! I think the opks work in a similar way to the cheapie pregnancy tests. Good luck Young!

scruffmacduff Tue 25-Apr-17 14:01:02

And good luck Hans!

youngmummy3105 Tue 25-Apr-17 14:40:06

I think I might try and buy some cheapie ones and see how I get on with them and if not then buy the clear blue ones. When do I test? How soon after AF? Everyday or what? I've never done this before!!xx

HansSolo22 Tue 25-Apr-17 14:55:54

With the clearblue ones you test from about cycle day 8, depending on your average cycle length. I have a 24 day cycle usually and I got my smiley face on CD12 this month. I test first thing which is recommended. Good luck!!

youngmummy3105 Tue 25-Apr-17 15:01:51

Does the pack have enough tests for a month?

owltrousers Tue 25-Apr-17 16:16:53

Can I join too?

AF due 4th May but signs are promising so far smile

Plodder30 Tue 25-Apr-17 16:23:30

Hi all, can I join?

AF due (or hopefully not) on 4th.
I'm 6DPO.

Good luck all.

HansSolo22 Tue 25-Apr-17 16:36:23

young you start testing around CD8 depending on average length then only use the test until you get a smiley face which shows that LH surge has been detected. So I used 5 this month and you can get them in boxes of 20 which are about £20(!).

Welcome owl and plodder - here's hoping May is full of bfp's for us all grin

scruffmacduff Tue 25-Apr-17 17:00:17

Hi Owl and Plodder! I'm on CD 19 and have been having mild cramps and a bit of backache last night. I think I ov'd CD 15.

Ooh Owl what are your signs? smile

youngmummy3105 Tue 25-Apr-17 17:04:01

Welcome owl and plodder!

That's not too bad then Hans I thought that you used a whole box in a month but if it lasts 3-4 cycles that's not bad at all. Works out at a pound a test. I might have to go pick some up and get some boots points too! That's how I justify spending money I do it in boots to get my points😂 xx

Plodder30 Tue 25-Apr-17 17:17:21

Thank you!

I'm on cycle day 19 too but I think (can't be 100% sure) that I OV on day 13.

I don't think I have any signs as such. I have had low aching for the last 2 days but I don't know if that's any sign....

youngmummy3105 Tue 25-Apr-17 17:20:55

Only time will tell plodder let's hope it's a BFP for you!x

Crazyvaperlady Tue 25-Apr-17 17:23:08

Hi all I'm due AF 7th May... Think I've almost certainly caught this month! smile

youngmummy3105 Tue 25-Apr-17 17:23:47

Let's hope so crazy what makes you so certain?x

youngmummy3105 Tue 25-Apr-17 17:35:08

Just looked on my boots Hans and it is 26.99 for ten of the dual hormone ones or 22.99 for the normal ones. 20 tests is 46.99 for dual and 39.99 for normal. Where did you buy them from so cheap? X

xTTCTamsterx Tue 25-Apr-17 17:54:30

hello ladies, new to this, i am due AF 30th so keeping my fingers crossed that this is my month, and fingers crossed for all of you also tbusmile

Advise needed, i bought some ebay cheapies 10miu and when i tested i could see a faint second line..... Now, i actually thought i might have been seeing things so i left it a few hours and tested again to make sure, when i tested again i showed my partner who could also see this 2nd line. Strangely enough two days later i did another test which was a BFN sad now i dont know what to believe. i have tested again over the past few days and all BFN.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

scruffmacduff Tue 25-Apr-17 17:55:23

Fingers crossed for everyone!

HansSolo22 Tue 25-Apr-17 17:55:45

young sorry just looked again and I paid £19 for 10 sticks, not twenty shock. That is the price in Tesco. Its the pink ones I use, not the purple ones which are the more expensive dual hormone ones.

youngmummy3105 Tue 25-Apr-17 17:57:26

Hans: So would a box last one or two cycles? X

ImoAsta Tue 25-Apr-17 17:58:33
