I know, I know, I need to POAS but I can't right now.

Period is 4 days late, maybe 3, I'm usually 30 days and very rarely 31. In extremely predicable, like I can book holidays around my period a year in advance predictable.

We are ttc and have been for a year.

Bubutbut I can't see how I could be pregnant this time - we only managed to have sex one during the appropriate time (normally CONSIDERABLY better than this but taking it easy for a month because of complicated work and house moving stuff.

And my temperature is showing a classic about to start period pattern, and I'm feeling weird Iittle twinges which might be period coming - but that's been happening for days.

So - is there any chance? And if I am pregnant is the temperature thing indicating a problem with the pregnancy?

I promise I will test as soon as I can. But if I test then I will know I'm not pregnant :'( so I've been putting it off because magical thinking.

Being late is probably the best possible and most accurate symptom of pregnancy (unless your periods are usually irregular). If I were you I'd take a test.

I'm stuck with no access to test taking until at least late this evening, aaargh. Why didn't I just do one yesterday??!

We've had so much disappointment. Not like some people, it's only been a year, but I can't bear to get our hopes up. But yes it is very late and that is very unusual.

I'm excited and yet also terrified. Everytime I go to the loo I think it'll be there but still no period...

I don't want to get your hopes up but the one thing that made me POAS was the feeling I was about to come on but nothing happening...it was positive after 14 months of trying.

Good luck Flowers

That's exactly how I feel New. It just seems so unlikely!

The stupid thing is I best there's a teenager or someone who doesn't want to be pregnant somewhere moaning "but I only had sex once!!". Which is all it takes... Unless you are my brain and convinced it can't be happening!

That comment you have made right there is exactly what I used to say!!! Every month was soul destroying Sad I had the added complication of having no idea if I was ovulating as my cycle was anywhere from 20-40 days and it couldn't be pinpointed with bloods.

I so hope you get the result you wish for.

Thank you all but alas it turns out my body is a giant troll. Period has started. On the plus side, wine with the friend I'm meeting later this week, and at least I didn't waste an expensive test. (I only had the frer ones in).

Oh well, back to the shagging board.

Thank you. There's always next month and we've had some testing so we know there's no obvious issues. Just need to do more shagging. How terrible. puts brave face on

I just want to sympathise. That was me on holiday last summer. Never normally late by that much. Ended up being five days late and not pregnant. Just a late ovulation due to stress. That was the nearest I've come to really really getting my hopes up in over two years of TTC. The only occasion I believed it might have happened. Makes it so much worse when af arrives Flowers
