Just to recap...
Age 30

First month of using OPKs this month so that will be helpful and am also on a mission to improve my diet and to exercise more. (DH is doing the same too so feeling really positive that he is on board.) So far so good: I have taken up yoga and went to the cinema today and didn't buy any snacks! #Iwantedpopcornsobad Grin How is everyone else doing? fx this thread brings loads of BFPs! x

AF has finally gone. Planning to DTD every other day from CD8 to CD18 in hope of catching the big O. Currently smashing an Easter egg into my face swilled down with Wine

BlueSkies87 · 13/04/2017 20:13

Lol Rhi. I have that bank holiday feeling where I just want to drink wine and eat chocolate but I am trying so hard to be healthier! Biscuit Cake Wine

RhiBee29 · 13/04/2017 20:28

I've mainly consumed empty calories today, work was evil, but met my deadlines in the end. I'm a bridesmaid in August so need to rein it in although if I get a bfp fitting in the dress may be a problem Confused

BlueSkies87 · 13/04/2017 20:41

Some days are like that and on those days chocolate is the only answer! New day tomorrow Smile Sorry to hear you've had a tough day though. V exciting about being a bridesmaid and lots of time before August so today won't hurt at all x

Jords0105 · 13/04/2017 21:37

ahhh.... chocolate and wine sounds good.... getting either would involve leaving the house though so might just stick with tea and bourbons

My stats

All this talk of bourbons and chocolate is making my mouth water. But I'm being very disciplined with food in a bid to boost my ageing ovary (only got one) Halo

littlemimosa · 13/04/2017 22:04

Let's hope you won't need the opks next month Jords!

Jords0105 · 13/04/2017 22:08

Sorry for posting so many times I thought It wasn't working because it's got a big red box round it😂 yeah let's hope it's the same for all of us! I doubt it will be for me though I don't have a good feeling about this month

lisara79 · 13/04/2017 22:15

There are going to be some BFPs this month ladies (despite the bourbons) I can feel it x

BlueSkies87 · 14/04/2017 07:50

Morning ladies. Feeling a bit down this morning. Been chatting to friends about their plans for the long weekend and there's lots of talk of days out with the kids and Easter egg hunts etc. Asked my Mum if she wanted to come over but she is going to see a friend with little children to take them their Easter eggs. Tomorrow I am going to an Easter lunch wth DH and his family, my SIL has children and my other SIL is pregnant and I just feel, I dunno, a bit left out of the club. So silly to feel this way but can't really help it. DH has just gone to work and am here on my own and so I just thought I would message on here in an attempt to keep myself sane. cd10 and I have already lost the plot. It is going to be a LONG cycle xx

RhiBee29 · 14/04/2017 08:39

@BlueSkies87 it's hard during the holidays when you're the odd one out but I'm the opposite way round, only one with a child so I feel left out as all my mates are out on the pop or going on spontaneous weekends away. The grass is always greener!

LunaNightSky · 15/04/2017 12:28

Hey guys!

Sorry I've been away so I'm sneaking in again. Did anyone get a bfp last month from the old thread?

My af came on the 8th which was a day late and finished on 11th. Dtd last night but my app says not fertile until 17th. DP says not to track it as it will happen but I can't help myself and I have polycystic ovarian syndrome. Dr said unsure if I ovulate so I thought I might OPK this month or next but I read the info on a pack in boots and it's says not to with pcos.

Age: 29
TTC: first baby
Second month of ttc

Smile

mammabear4 · 15/04/2017 12:43

Hi everyone :) can I join please?
Stats:
Age 27
TTC #2
Cycle 7 (ish - started TTC in October got pregnant in Jan and had an early miscarriage)
CD 11

Other info - DH is in the RAF and away during the week which is a bit of an obstacle. This is my first "normal" cycle since the miscarriage and I've had a positive OPK since weds!! Last one taken about an hour ago. Conceived DD first time trying (she is nearly 3) so this is all brand new to me. My 2 best friends are mega supportive but - one has just had a baby 2 weeks ago and one is due in 2 weeks so I'm feeling a bit alone in all this at the moment!

mammabear4 · 15/04/2017 12:45

@BlueSkies87 totally get where you're coming from. I actually have a LO and so lucky. But just seems like EVERYONE is preggers or got a newborn atm. I think when it's something you're so desperate for every tiny thing just weighs more heavily

lisara79 · 15/04/2017 12:45

Hey Luna.. my friend used opks successfully with pcos but I think it can be disheartening if you don't see the surge... it wouldn't guarantee anything as it only measures the LH surge and not actual ovulatuon... I think works best with temping but that might take things a bit far! I don't think it can harm

mammabear4 · 15/04/2017 14:51

Thank you lisara :) anyone got any ideas on why I've had a positive ovulation test for 3 days in a row?! We DTD last Sunday before DH went back to work, twice last night and once this morning. He's back to work late tonight so might try to squeeze one more in! :D

You're right Rhi but for some reason it all got a bit much yesterday. Feeling much better today though Smile
Welcome Mamma. You are right too, sometimes the tiniest thing can push you over the edge. I think I was just feeling sorry for myself. I'm really sorry to hear about your loss in January. fx for you for this cycle. Can't believe how much you have dtd in the last 24 hours Grin Twice last night?! That's serious commitment! Wink
Welcome back Luna. Sorry to hear af arrived. We weren't v successful with bfps on the last thread, but fx for us all this cycle.

mammabear4 · 15/04/2017 20:24

@BlueSkies87 tell me about it!!! Grin think it's a record for us since DD was born. Especially if you count the one this morning! It's been so tricky trying to keep it "natural" when we really do have to time things with him being away so often. Good luck to everyone for this cycle hope everyone is having a good Easter weekend! Had a couple of gins have to admit!

RhiBee29 · 16/04/2017 08:12

@mammabear4 I'll have to sign DH up for the RAF to improve his stamina Grin

Decided im not going to opk or temp this cycle just DTD every other day, getting too crazy and it's only cycle 2!
