Hi everyone,

My partner and I have only been TTC for 2 months - so I don't have much to go on.
What I do know:
Last few cycle lengths:
31 Days
30 Days
36 Days (First month of trying I thought I was PG but kept getting negatives so maybe stressed delayed)

First month of trying we dtd CD 8,9,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18 and nothing.

This month I've started the ClearbBlue digital ovulation tests and haven't had a smiley face yet (It's now CD 19)

This month so far we have only dtd on CD 9,14,17 & 18.
When we dtd on CD 17 when I went to the loo I noticed a tiny smear of blood and again yesterday. Today when I went to the loo I had a tiny tiny bit of brown discharge.

As far as the tests are saying I haven't ovulated yet.

Should I worry or go see a doctor? Never had even a bit of tinged discharge before so I'm really worried?

Thanks

Dg x

A doctor will probably fob you off... tbh. You probably ov about 14 days before your period starts.

The. Lending could simply be minor irritation. If it becomes more of a pattern get checked out, but after two incidents, gps will probably not be much help mine hasn't been despite ttc for over a year with several early miscarriages.

Thanks for replying! x

When we did dtd on CD 17 it wasn't sore but was a bit uncomfortable when we begun as we didn't bother with any foreplay (sorry if TMI).

Is that ok? Obviously just want to know there isn't any problems as I've never experienced this.

Still really annoyed as I got another O this morning. Where is my smiley face! :(

Hi Dazzle

Were you on the Pill before? It can take some time for your body to sort itself out after that. The lack of smily face may well be due to that. Try not to panic.

Hiya :)

I was but came off it around September I believe, just been using condoms since until last month.

I just worried a bit about the discharge and then also not smiley face...just hope I get one soon :(

Based on my cycle I assume I would need to keep dtd later on in my cycle?

Just went to the loo there and had more brown discharge, much darker this time.

I'm a bit concerned now? It's like the start of a period but I'm not due for another 2 weeks?

Could be sensitive cervix - due to coming off birth control and hormone changes may make more sensitive during sex especially mid cycle causing bleeding? If you are concerned see the gp as they may refer you for a smear if not had one recently (not worrying you but if it's not normal for you then you have right to see a gp if you want :))

Are you using the dual clearblue test (with flashing and static smily faces)? I don't know if it was just me but those ones didn't seem to work for me for some reason, and I never got a static smily. But the normal clearblue ones did work (the ones that only have the static smily). I even used both side by side one month to check. No idea why, and I'm probably just odd, but mentioning it in case the same applies to you.

@WantToGoingTo - I had a smear last year :) - maybe it is just a bit sensitive. Guess it's a new thing for me so I've never thought about it. That shouldn't effect ttc should it?

@beekeeper17 I'm using the clear blue digital with the flashing and static smiley faces - but I've yet to see any!!! Did you get any smiley at all?

I feel a bit worried it's CD19 and still nothing...except this brown discharge! Arghhhh should we keep dtd for a few more days?

Dazzle have you noticed any change in cm? Watery, stetchy etc (apart from the spotting). This is only my second cycle with the advanced clear blue OPK (never got a peak first cycle). Like Bee i find the ordinary CB opk that only gives one static smiley face much better!

DazzleGem · 13/04/2017 23:12

@lookatthemoon I usually notice nearer the end of the month my cm is more white...i worry thats too late.
Its cd20 tomorrow..should i be noticing changing by then? :(

@DazzleGem it was weird, I got flashing smilies then nothing then flashing ones again, but never a static. And the timings didn't seems right either. I had been using the basic clearblue ones before that that and they worked fine so I just went back to them, and they must have helped as I now have a 6 month old dd! I remember googling it at the time and I think some other people had problems with them too. Good luck!

What was your last period like? Was it a proper period? Could you officially be x many weeks pregnant now?

Another idea - possibly you ovulated much earlier this cycle and the bleeding is early implantation.

Go take a pregnancy test now and if that's negative take another one when your periods due.

Gp won't be concerned if its TTC related

I would keep dtd for a few more days! I had longer cycles (35 days) and in the month I conceived I had a positive opk on day 18 and we dtd for a few days before and after.

Don't stress about the cm Dazzle - I just mentioned it as if I have trouble with OPK's I just try and look at cm. i never paid any attention to it until I started to look for it. I would continue to use OPKs for the next few days and dtd every other day. CD18 isn't that late. Hope u get smiley face soon!

DazzleGem · 14/04/2017 16:56

Another day of dtd.
Its now CD 20 and no smiley face..should i be worried now?

To answer the question above my last period was totally normal, i was late by a couple of days and i did countless tests which all came back negative!

Just worrying now that surely i should have a surge by now? :(

No. Remember this is a marathon - not a sprint.

Have you been testing twice a day? It is easy to miss the surge. Maybe try different opks. Lots of others have been reporting issues recently with the dual hormone ones...

You'll drive yourself miserable and crazy at this rate - I know from experience.

Report
beekeeper17 · 14/04/2017 18:53

No, don't be worried. Going on my experience, I'd start using the basic clearblue opks from your next cycle, forget about those dual ones. Pour yourself a glass of wine and dtd a few more times this cycle for good luck!

user1471558436 · 14/04/2017 19:16

Which CD did you start testing?

Report
lookatthemoon · 14/04/2017 21:23

Really don't be worried! The dual hormone one is notorious for freaking people out. I agree about trying the basic ones next month - but there was even one month that I never got a smiley with those, not because there is anything wrong but probably because I missed the surge.

If you period was a bit late last month, you might be having a longer cycle this month too so you might be ovulating a bit later too

Sometimes you can have what seems to be a normal period and be pregnant. Some people only get positive pregnancy tests a couple of months into a pregnancy. I would retest personally.

Really appreciate the responses. So glad i joined this forum :).

I prob started testing around CD 10. Only been testing once a day with FMU, today was the first time i tested in the afternoon.

Its reassuring to know others have experienced the same with the duel one - i guess ill keep testing everyday until AF?

I have a couple spare preg tests i could always check, but im doubtful!

You guys are right though - i dont wanna get stressed. Even stopped drinking during our ttc weeks. Dam wine feels tempting when i feel this stressed!!!
