IBS or pregnancy?

I suffer quite badly from IBS and this last week, it has been horrific. I have had the most unbearable cramps. Normally, this would be accompanied with diarrhea (sorry for TMI!) but this week, it has been cramps only.

I am now wondering if maybe it isn't my IBS and I could be pregnant. I'm only 12 days past ovulation so not going to test yet, as this is month 8 of trying and I don't want to get my hopes up.

Just wondering if anyone else has IBS and how to differentiate the pain? Thanks.

I'm 4+4 pregnant and got my BFP a week ago today.
I have really bad IBS and being pregnant has made it so much worse, the cramping feels so similar that I spend most of my days sat on the loo!

Thanks for your reply. I am hopeful that's the reason but might just be a bad flare up.

Did a test this morning but negative. Looks like just a particularly bad flare up
