I cannot find the answer to this anywhere and nobody seems to be able to help me.

I posted last week about having no tww symptoms. I usually get them starting 1dpo, mostly very sore and tender boobs and it lasts through until around 11dpo and they start hurting less and are fine by the time af shows up. But this cycle, there was nothing. No sore boobs, no cramps, feeling full of energy rather than lethargic... However yesterday (12dpo) my boobs started hurting. They're tender today as well although they seem to be gradually getting more and more sore.

Now I know that progesterone is what causes tww symptoms, not pregnancy and I know that as you approach af, if you've not conceived then progesterone levels drop making your symptoms ease off and making you have a period.

So I don't get why my body seems to be doing the opposite. I ovulated on 21st (my positive OPK was on 20th) now I know it's possible that your body can try and ovulate, fail and then try again. So I did a few OPK's last week and just got the faint test line so I didn't ovulate later which might have explained the symptoms starting so late. Maybe it's possible I didn't ovulate at all?

My cycles are regular 29-30 days so should be here on Wednesday. I've tried googling but all I can find is people asking if it means they're pregnant and I've tried asking on other ttc groups/forums but people just keep telling me "it's pms, sore boobs are normal" but I already know that because I usually get them but my question is why would I NOT have them like usual but then START getting them a few days before my period.

If anyone could help me before I tear my hair out, that would be great lol

I'd maybe try and just wait see if af arrives Hun if not then take a test. Our body can play tricks on us xx

Hormones are funny things.

In 10 years of ttc I've had every permutation of 'symptoms', real and imagined. There seems to be no logic to any of it. I've discovered that in my case as well as progesterone very high oestrogen also causes sore boobs, as does HCG, so it is impossible to read anything into it!

At 12 dpo a pregnancy test result would be pretty reliable...

Thanks ladies, I'm too scared to test because I know it'll be negative and I hate seeing that horrible single line! I never thought of high estrogen actually. I'm so hoping that this is going to be the norm for me during my tww now lol I couldn't cope with my boobs being so sore for the entire two weeks lol

I normally get the reverse to you, so get the sore boobs around 10dpo until AF shows - it's normally my only reliable 2ww symptom. Last two cycles I've had no boob pain whatsoever. Like someone has said, hormones are funny things. Just record it on an app to analyse for future but all you can do is wait.

Thanks :) definitely going to make a note of it. I'm not long off the implant (had it removed beginning of December) so wondering if maybe the last few cycles my body was a bit all over the place and this month it's finally back to normal and is rid of all the fake hormones?
