Heyyyy
Just interested to know how many ladies have had there implant out and how long it took for a period to appear?? Anyone with a bfp story?

Emlorn Wed 29-Mar-17 18:07:15

Hi kleigh, I had my implant out end of Feb 2014 to TTC. Had quite a heavy withdrawal bleed straight away for five days, normal period two weeks later, and BFP two weeks after that. Ds is currently causing chaos whilst I try to cook dinner!

I have had unprotected sex over the weekend but nothing's happening lol need my period to work out things

I had mine out in late January. It took a while to come back, around 4-5 weeks I think. Was starting to think it wouldn't appear but it did in the end..!

2 months but I'm also bfing (our almost 2 year old) so not sure what is what!

TwentyCups Wed 29-Mar-17 23:05:26

Had a copper coil fitted ( no hormones) before implant removal. I had a proper period two weeks after removal, and periods like clockwork on 30 day cycle ever since!

Had my implant removed 4th December last year, withdrawal bleed a few days after that lasted 3 days. Then a month later I got my first proper period and have now had 3 proper periods in total, cycles are 29-30 days long

kleigh612 Wed 29-Mar-17 23:38:27

Anyone else ttc after removal

Bubblegum89 Wed 29-Mar-17 23:39:07

Yes I'm ttc, I'm on cycle 4 off the implant and no success so far

kleigh612 Wed 29-Mar-17 23:50:36

Hoping it happens quick for u X

Thank you. I have Asherman's Syndrome so it's highly unlikely that I'll conceive but we'll see. Sending lots of luck your way! smile

When I had my implant out to ttc our son, I didn't get withdrawal bleeding or even a period as I got pregnant that first cycle. This time, nothing so far.

Im still waiting on a bleed I've had nothing
But slight cramping

herestoshopping Fri 31-Mar-17 09:47:44

I've had the implant out nearly 6 weeks now and still no bleed.. sad

kleigh612 Fri 31-Mar-17 10:02:13

6 weeks!!!!

kleigh612 Fri 31-Mar-17 10:02:28

Is that normal

Hesdeadjim Fri 31-Mar-17 10:10:15

I had mine out last June, didn't have a period until Jan this year shock if had the implant exactly 3 years.

Cycles are now 28 days and like clockwork smile

I'm not TTC though so it wasn't massively frustrating, although slightly worrying! Weirdly my cycle returned to exactly the same time as it was before the implant, i always start around the first day of the month and that's the same now confused

I didn't have any spotting or symptoms at all until Christmas, when I got a bit hormonal.. then New Year's Day AF arrived pretty much exactly 6 months after I had the implant removed. I went to the GP twice to discuss my lack of period but they just told me to wait.. they were right wink

Try not to worry, everyone is different and you'all drive yourself mad.

Good luck!

Bubblysqueak Fri 31-Mar-17 10:13:19

I'm very jealous. I still have the implant and bleed for 6-9 weeks then get a break of up to 12 weeks then another bleed. Doc said perfectly normal confused it's due out soon and can't wait.

Bubblysqueak Fri 31-Mar-17 10:14:29

Sorry didn't realise this was in conception (thought it was in chat) sorry if I sounded insensitive flowers

MyBreadIsEggy Fri 31-Mar-17 10:15:44

I've had two implants.
Had both removed and was pregnant both times within a couple of weeks of having them removed - no period either time!

TJDetweiler Fri 31-Mar-17 10:23:22

I had it removed and became pregnant that cycle so my period never actually returned until after DS was born.

Raffles1981 Fri 31-Mar-17 10:49:17

I had my implant out in September 2016. Not sure if this is relevant, but I never had a period whilst on the implant. Light period appeared about a month later. I then got pregnant around Christmas. Had lots of cramping after the implant came out though. Good luck OP x

kleigh612 Fri 31-Mar-17 10:53:18

My worry is not knowing if or
Not I'm ovulating so have no clue when to try lol it's just pot luck

Negative tests --- but cramping
It's like my body is trying to bleed lol
I want a bfp soon orrr a period either one id be over the moon with so I know where I'm up to

ScarletSienna Fri 31-Mar-17 12:09:23

Kleigh I feel the same. Breastfeeding is adding in an extra 'what's going on' dimension as I really don't know if it is having an affect on ovulation or not.

Raffles1981 Fri 31-Mar-17 12:12:56

It is a very frustrating time. I felt like my body wanted to have a period as well. Easier said than done but a nice, hot bath and some relaxing nights in will help. Fretting/worrying/stressing about it won't help (but I am sure you know that) x
