Got a very nearly dark OPK last night and then what looks like a positive this morning!

Problem is DP is working away all weekend and won't be back until Sunday evening (midnight - ish) at the earliest. We dtd yesterday morning and used Preseed and gravity for good measure! Lol! Will not dtd today ruin our chances? I know Sperm 'can' survive a few days but not sure what the norm is.

Is it still possible?

Is it still possible?

I think average is 24-48hrs but some can survive up to 5 days. Depends on cervical mucus but if you used pressed could prolong! With positive this afternoon I would estimate ovulation at tomorrow evening so if you dtd on Monday then pretty good chance I'd say!

Temperature has risen this morning so do I assume I've already ovulated?
DP not home until 9ish so probably pinning our hopes on Friday mornings dtd?

Is it still possible?

Yes id say you ovulated yesterday going by that chart. But from opk likely yesterday evening so Monday morning should catch it!

Unless can dtd tonight haha!

user1471496670 · 26/03/2017 14:12

Thank you WantTo! I really appreciate the advice as this is the first time I've ever temped!
So Friday morning could catch it if I ovulated last night and we'll also dtd tonight too 😊
Am I right in thinking my temperature now needs to stay up for so.......many days to indicate I'm definitely ovulating?

Yes temp should stay up now, will dip again if af is arriving.

user1471496670 · 26/03/2017 14:47

Does it have to stay up for next 2 weeks? Does that mean I'm not ovulating if it dips again in next few days?

You don't tend to ovulate until 24/48
Hours after a positive OPK

user1471496670 · 26/03/2017 15:31

Oh I thought it was 12-36? Obviously if it's 12hrs that ties in with my temps too. I also felt Ovulation pain and cramping last night.
